When we last checked up on Kamiko Switch eShop sales in the first half of 2018, we found out the Skipmore-developed game had sold more than 200,000 copies.
Now, in the latest sales update, Flyhigh Works has revealed the game has now sold "well over" 250,000 copies on the eShop.
Kamiko was one of the earliest indie titles released on the Switch and is definitely worth a look if you haven't already picked it up. We gave it nine out of ten stars in our review and said it was stunningly stylish and action-packed. The title is currently on sale for $1.99 / £1.77.

This looks really good, almost Zelda like. How did I miss this??
But it's so short and simple. :X Though, $2 is okay for it I guess?
I played this back when I first got a Switch and needed to fill my library out with some cheap games. Honestly it's not a bad game and it entertained me for a few days. For the price, it's a solid choice.
Under rated game for sure. Worth every penny, and it only costs a few hundred pennies so I'd give it a go if you haven't already 😊
It is a bite sized delight. Happy for them.
I love the eShop art for the game, but I for some reason get discouraged every time I see the screenshots of in-game footage even though I know it is a pretty solid game.
Games like this are great because they are cheap but very well made.
Yep, guilty, I bought it as well
I purchased on release but only played once.
Great little gem
It's normally about $5 I believe, which is a bargain even for a shorter game. I played through with each character getting 100%, fantastic game.
@Dm9982 It's closer to Hyper Light Drifter. More of a stylised action game than an adventure. It was worth it at full price and a no-brainer on sale.
A real gem.
Hope people buy it for the original price though. It's cheap enough already, very polished and way above the 'mobile title" quality you normally get for these prices.
The developer deserves more.
@8itmap_k1d You have convinced me, must buy this too!
I'm sorry y'all but I absolutely hated this game and I can't recommend it. There are lots of better games for your money.
Nope not for me.
I couldn't be bothered to finish it, which says something as it's apparently a really short game. Thought it was worse than bad: boring.
I can't believe how many people sing its praises. It's mediocre at best.
I liked it. It’s pretty basic, but a nice little diversion. I got it when it came out, which was well before the backlog kicked in. But still worth a couple of bucks
Nice little game
I BOUGHT it as wel and it really is a hidden gem
I don't understand the praise given for this game. Bland, boring, mindless, repetitive, not even close to a Zelda clone that many say it is. Didn't even complete it even though it was a short game.
Never heard of this game before!? But as soon as i saw it i thought. This looks just like Fairune Collection which i really enjoyed. Then i read the article and now i know why it looks so much like it. Haven't played it yet. But for $1.99 on sell i thought it was a no brainer.
If you consider a movie ticket is $9 for a two hour movie @TobiasAmaranth. Then you should/would expect a $2 game to only be 26 minutes long by comparison. Except you get to keep the game, so a good deal IMO.
Imagine how many they'd sell if they were smart enough to add a trailer to their estore page.
Let's say that it reminds me of Zelda but let's rule out the overworld and only consider the dungeons: what you do is look for keys, open doors, create passageways and slash enemies on your way. I liked it a lot and find it easy to recommend to anyone who likes this kind of gameplay!
My only major criticism of the game would be that it's so short...but that's usually a good criticism because it means I wanted to play more of it. $2 is the perfect price for the length, and a steal if you take advantage of the replay/speedrun value. I'd love to see a Kamiko 2 that's longer someday.
Bought this when it went on sale for like $1, game was terrible I fell asleep within five minutes
I enjoyed this one back when I played it and thought $5 was a perfect price tag for it. I will say though if it came out now with the hundreds of great games currently on the e-shop I probably would have skipped over this one as it was a pretty mediocre experience overall. Solid 6/10 from me
I got it for a quid. And I enjoyed it. Simplistic no real challenge. But like I said enjoyed it fir what it was.
This is a fun cheap game that looks good plays smooth.... I had no idea it had any haters! Do y’all hate fun?
I bought it and I'm totally going to get around to playing it, as soon as I play all the other games I bought on sale, and my steam backlog, and games with gold. What a time to be alive.
@Gooigi I watched a video of it and looks pretty cool.have you finished the game?and is it tough?I got the game for less than two pounds and it got a 9 out of ten so can't complain 👍
