Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer might be arriving on the Switch eShop later this month, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about the rhythmic action-adventure game.
During an interview with 4Gamer at Bitsummit 7 Spirits in Japan, Brace Yourself Games revealed more about the development process and what players could expect from the final release. Lead designer Oliver Trujillo explained how Nintendo wanted the Zelda lore to remain intact:
“They had quite a hand in supervising the appearance of story details for the Triforce. They emphasized that they wanted the series’ lore and mysteriousness to stay intact even in this title.”
When asked about the number of music tracks in the game, apparently there “are a lot” and there's a strong focus on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:
“I can’t give a specific number, but I’d just like to say that there are a lot. With particular focus on A Link to the Past, many songs from across the series will show up.”
Are you excited about Link’s upcoming musical adventure? Tell us below.

Of course Nintendo kept a grip on the lore, but that's fine, I'm still interested in getting this.
It's understandable that Nintendo doesn't want their brands cheapened like with the CDi games.
But from the trailer (that still gives me goosebumps lol) you see a good looking blend between the 2 universes.
I cannot wait to know more about it.
Zelda alttp songs plus cheap eurodance-like beat??! I m SO sold !!!!
I seriously cannot wait for this game to release, I am a massive Zelda nerd and a huge fan of rhythm games (especially the original Crypt Of The Necrodancer)!
I think the last rythm game I played was Elite Beat Agents on NDS. I have read so many good reviews for Crypt of the Necrodancer, add a layer of my favourite IP and you can just help yourself to my wallet.
An I would never expect Nintendo to let other studios do what they what with one of their star IP. What's the saying again? "Remember remember, the Philips CD-i"
Oh man I can’t wait for this!! I loved the original Crypt of the Necrodancer
So then is this game canon to the timeline? Odd that that is so considering is a third-party game just like Hyrule Warriors is.
Actually... if a game is a third-party game but is using a first-party game, does that mean is technically a second-party game??
I don't expect we'll have any songs from The Oracle games or Minish Cap
@Isaix Minish cap is horribly underrated.
Oh man, Dark world hype.
I need this thing.
Didn't they already announce there would be 25 tracks in the game? I read that on this very website
@Kalmaro I agree, minish cap is my favorite game in the series and also one of my favorite games of all time. Everything about that game amazes me!
@SenseiDje Can I make the remix album?
@Zoda_Fett It was just so good, and your partner had so much personality, unlike a certain fairy...
@ForgottenArctic please do it !
And be sure I will enjoy it
I can see this being shadow dropped at E3 and will buy it within a heart beat
@Kalmaro HEY! Listen!!
@SenseiDje I was joking but, hey, this could work! I'll let you know if I come up with anything!
