The highly-anticipated Nindie release, Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer, appears to be arriving at some point between now and the end of this month on the Nintendo Switch.
After showing up in a Nintendo newsletter promoting the games coming to the Switch later this month, a listing for the rhythm action-adventure title featuring Link and Princess Zelda has now appeared on the European eShop. According to multiple sources, this listing suggests the game could be arriving within the next couple of weeks.
If you haven't heard about this game already, it was originally announced for "this Spring" during the March Nindie Direct presentation earlier this year and is being developed by Brace Yourself Games and published by Spike Chunsoft. The game is based on the developer's previous release, Crypt of the NecroDancer, and requires you to go on a quest to save Hyrule.
Is this a game you'll be downloading on release? Did you play Crypt of the NecroDancer? Sound off in the comments below.

Yes!!! I want to try it!
Super excited about this.
I hope the difficulty is a little less killer (or I become more competent at playing the game!) but without losing the sense of accomplishment Necrodancer has.
I believe in this!
May release seems v viable.
Never played Necrodancer — but I love the concept, and combined with Zelda, it’s gotta be good! Just gotta best Cuphead and Gris and Wandersong first 😭
My body is ready.
Damn it, I have no interest in the Necrodancer game, but I'll just have to buy this one. Why you do me like this, Nintendo?!
@Nanaki if this game was made under supervision of nintendo, it'll probably ease players into the gameplay before getting really hard.
This is absolutely a day 1 purchase for me, Zelda is one of my favourite game franchises and I absolutely love Necrodancer so I am super hyped for this game!
@leo13 what do you mean try it?
It probably will release soon considering it's supposed to have a 'Spring' release window but an eShop listing with no concrete release information means nothing.
Will hold out for a slim chance of a physical edition
So it’s basically Zelda DLC or what?
I'm not usually into rythm games, but Necrodancer's combined mechanics work brilliantly and the game is a blast! Can't wait for this!
Funny, I just started playing Crypt of The Necrodancer again last night. I still suck at it and can't get past world 2. I'm still buying this!
Really looking forward to this. After getting back into BOTW and just cracking into Wind Waker HD, my goal of constantly playing Zelda games is seemingly going well.
Saving up gold points specifically for this. This might take front and center stage for me over resident evil, We'll see..
@mist no its a full game, and by the looks of it it's more in an action rpg style map than the smaller maps of the original. Looks fantastic to me
Never played Necrodancer, but I think I'll give this game a shot when it comes out. I like Zelda games, anyway
@LoveEmpath I mean I'm going to purchase the game and try it
This looks killer . Will definitely check this out
