Flyhigh Works has confirmed that Witch & Hero is making its way to Nintendo Switch later this month, launching on the eShop on 21st March.
In this one, you play as a Hero accompanied by a Witch, seeking revenge and justice over the evil Medusa. Medusa turned the witch into stone, so she is no longer able to move, and it’s up to the Hero to defeat the monsters and collect their blood in order to recover the Witch for a limited period of time. You'll find plenty of challenging arenas in which you use ‘bump’ combat to take on waves of foes, and you'll need to partner up with the Witch and her destructive powers to take on these waves as they get stronger.
You may remember that the game launched on 3DS back in 2013; it's pretty safe to say that we didn't exactly enjoy our time with it back then, but this Switch version adds the ability to play with a friend in a co-op mode and has been "enhanced for the Nintendo Switch and HD displays". Hopefully things will be better this time around.
The game will be priced at $4.99USD / €4,99 when it launches next week.
What do you think? Did you try this one on 3DS? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

Hmm, seems like a pretty good deal for 5$
I've enjoyed this on 3ds. I'm not sure how far I got in it. I'll have to try it later today to see if I still like it. Having two player coop sounds great though!
I enjoyed this little game on the 3ds until I got to the last boss. It feels nearly impossible. They definitely need to adjust the difficulty on it.
@faint Right there with you, I put in a lot of hard (but fun) work to get to the final boss, but that final fight was unnecessarily hard. I'd probably get it done if I went back now, but that fight literally made me put the game down and I NEVER walk away from a final boss fight to beat a game.
This was ace on the 3DS. Last boss was tough, but not impossible.
I like these games. I really do. It's just that they're coming non-stop and flooding the market very quickly until people completely fell tired of them again.
My son loves this game on 3ds.
We might get this.
The original was surprisingly fun up until the final boss. Might pick this up at some point
@MeloMan @faint It's been a while, but I think I remember the final boss having a trick to beating it?
Edit: yes I found it: you can control Medusa's eye by pressing the L and R buttons
I remember this as that game Nintendolife hated but its members loved and stuck up for with passion. Looking at the review I find it amusing that Thomas, who was the one who awarded it a 2, now works for Fly High Works and is presumably involved in this Switch port.
Well you can't exactly go wrong for $5 but I'm going to be hesitant to pick this up. ESPECIALLY if it has an immediate sale.
This sounds great. I didn't even realize they were still working with Witch & Hero. Absolutely wonderful game and the sequel was just as good. I actually remember being one of those vocal voices on the review.
The game was pretty fun on the 3DS so for 5 bucks I'll probably pick it up.
