Publisher Leadman Games has revealed that a physical Guacamelee series bundle is on the way for Switch, fittingly called Guacamelee! One-Two Punch Collection.
The bundle includes both Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Guacamelee! 2, two action-packed 2D brawlers that are a great way to spend your time. Inspired by Mexican folklore, the games also feature challenging platforming and Metroidvania progression elements, with players taking control of wrestler, Juan Aguacate, as he explores a world filled with undead enemies and sassy bosses.
This double pack bundle includes an exclusive two-sided poster, an instruction manual, and codes to download two soundtracks. You can see a full feature list for the product below.
Features:
- Two incredible games in one package! The ultimate Guacamelee! experience
- Non-stop fighting action with an extensive move list and advanced combo engine
- Swap seamlessly between Living and Dead worlds to outwit impossible terrain
- Attacks double as movement, uniting platforming and fighting
- Diverse world with lively towns, dark forests, flowery canals and fiery volcanoes
- Drop in/out local co-operative play with up to four players
- Many unique bosses, wide range of foes, and elite-class enemies
- Colorful, vibrant costumes that change both appearance and fighting attributes
- Leaderboards, achievements, and support for multiple save slots
- ... and of course chickens. Lots and lots of chickens.
- Collection includes exclusive 2-sided poster, full manual, and soundtrack codes
The bundle will launch on 28th May for $39.99; both games are available separately as we speak on the Switch's eShop.

If the artstyle of these games didn't put me off so much I'd be all over this right now. But hey cool for the fans!
Nice, glad I've held off on downloading 2 now. I already have the original on Wii U, but this will be worth the double dip. No limited supply shenanigans and some nice extra goodies too.
Fantastic! This is exactly what I was waiting for.
I loved playing these games on Steam, so I held off on digital Switch purchases for this reason.
I wonder if this package includes the DLC content for Guacamelee 2? It doesn't mention it.
Saw this yesterday and delighted it’s a double pack at that price. Glad that Limited Run or Super Rare didn’t get their mits on the release.
These guys did the Salt and Sanctuary and that cost less that £30 to import on amazon. Happy days
@Fuz : My rule on eShop downloads is that I won't buy anything over 2GB (as games that size and over ought to have a physical release) unless it's absolutely dirt cheap (I only broke that rule with 1979 Revolution: Black Friday, which is about 4GB and only AU$5 when it was on sale).
I don't download much from the eShop, but none of my games have received a physical release, nor are they likely to ever be released as such.
The more ambitious indie projects will most likely see a physical release at some point or another. I'm often surprised by what gets released, though the flip side is that the physical release can cost substantially more. For example, The Count Lucanor was only a few bucks on sale, but its retail release is AU$60. Similarly, I paid about AU$52 or so (inclusive of shipping) for Mutant Mudds Collection from Super Rare Games. It was recently on sale for only AU$3.90. I don't mind the fact as I prefer physical versions in the overwhelming majority of cases, but some may not feel that it is worth it.
It's nice to see it physically released, although I don't know if they'll be available in European stores, but anyway I already have the first entry on Wii U, and will download the second on Switch when its price drops significantly. I decided time ago that I wouldn't double dip or sell and re-buy titles on Switch that I already had on Wii U, still love that console.
@Silly_G the mutant mudds physical was lovely and IMHO the best Super Rare have done... packaging wise... don’t regret buying that at all.
Ooooh! I may get this.
Never buy eshop releases early unless they're too good to refuse (e.g. Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight were priced very reasonably at release). Hence why I haven't bought Celeste or The Messenger yet.
Guac1 went really cheap on Wii U eshop, which is when I picked it up, so double dipping on this package (if/when the price is right) won't be an issue for me.
@gcunit
Wait, were you waiting for the Celeste physical release?
Because that's gone, they opened January 1st and ended February 1st on Limited Run Games.
Personally:
Never got my hands on this as I wanted to buy digital for cheaper prices. If this bundle is release in Europe I will get my hands on it
Ah, I knew there was a reason I didn't buy the second one
I own the first game on Wii U, but will definitely keep my eyes out for this.
@RupeeClock I thought Hollow Knight retail was cancelled? I already own Celeste, Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley digitally, but I have Celete physical pre-ordered and will definitely double dip on the others as soon as I can get physical.
@roadrunner343
Yeah, Hollow Knight was cancelled, but I'm hopeful that other arrangements for its phsyical release will be possible.
Stardew Valley is out now as a Japanese (multi-language) collector's edition, I pre-ordered it via Play-Asia but it appears they're out of stock.

My order hasn't shipped yet since it's bundled with other pre-orders.
@RupeeClock No, not waiting per se, but I won't buy an eshop title over £10 unless I know its a favourite of mine. So I'm waiting for a significant eshop reduction, with an outside chance a physical version might come along in some guise one day. Not really interested in the Limited Run kind of deal - overpriced for me.
I want this but I'm not sure I'll buy. I own the first on the Wii U and I'm not a collector so the added stuff doesn't really do it for me......BUT, the digital soundtracks are a very nice addition for me.
@Silly_G Good rule. Mine is the same, but broke it for Fortnite. Will also buy Shovel Knight physical, even though I have the games already, since They Deserve It.
@RupeeClock Celeste was said to be coming to Bestbuy according to Limited Runs website. Will be cheaper if you have GCU still.
Sucks that this has to come out after the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove physical edition in April, but at least it's happening.
I want to get the physical version but I have seen the first game go on sale for quite low on the eShop. I don't know if I could warrant that price myself.
Oh I really don't like how some games get physical releases later on........... oh well....... (Not saying I bought this game digitally, but I have got a couple I got digitally that became physical......well by some limited run physical companies...... but still.)
@janpampoen, Shovel Knights team are awesome I plan to do the same have the games downloaded on my 3DS, Wii U and Switch yet I will buy Switch physical just to support an amazing team also have the upcoming amiibo preordered, they look fantastic.
I'm glad I've held off on Guacamelee 2 because of my 3DS and Switch backlog I will be all over this come May can't wait to jump in to G2 it looks fabulous and I love the first game .
Ah, excellent! Glad I held off on these two. Now I get them physically! ^^
Excellent, now my brother can stop complaining that I was waiting for news on a physical release to get the games!
I have both games on my Switch and I sincerely hope they make a third entry.
Definitely one of the best Metroidvanias in recent memory.
Definitely picking this up soon even though I had one of them on digital.
