If you like blowing stuff up then you'll no doubt love Bomber Crew when it flies on to the Switch eShop on the 10th of July. The game has been developed by Brighton-based two-man development team Runner Duck Games with a bit of help from publisher Curve Digital.
In the game players must recruit, train, and upgrade their very own WWII flight team before piloting a Bomber over enemy territory. Your crew members only have one life, so every mission is fraught with danger as you guide the crew to victory while dodging flak fire, maintaining course through unstable weather conditions, avoiding enemy radar detection, battling dreaded enemy Aces, and more.
Every Bomber is fully customisable, with the ability to change the base colour - from gaudy pink to camo green - all the way up to upgrading its bombing capability and your chances of survival. Using the in-game tool, you can even slap your slogan on the side of the vehicle or draw your own wing art, to strike fear or laughter into the hearts of your enemies.
Interestingly, Bomber Crew features a Season Pass which will be available on the same date as the main game, along with the Deluxe Editions and the debut DLC pack, Secret Weapons.
Secret Weapons sees players taking to the skies during the WWII “Big Week” in the winter of 1944. Players will be faced with new treacherous weather conditions to fly in, new enemy Aces to confront, changes to the airbase, and more ways to upgrade the Bomber.
Players can also purchase the Season Pass for access to all the announced and released DLC, as well as one further set of unannounced side missions. The Season Pass offers a significant saving to purchasing all DLC separately.
Based on what we've seen of the trailer above it all looks rather lovely. Let us know if you plan to join the Bomber Crew in July with a comment below.

Sign me up! Been avoiding picking this up on other platforms so I hope this version delivers.
Day 1 dlc that isn't cosmetic? That always bothers me.
I hope they didn't drop the bomb on this one. I shall be and forced to twirl my RAF moustache. . .
not sure what to think of this. i'll wait for a review or more details before getting into playing this.
I like micro-management à la FTL and it looks like it's the same kind of game so I'm in !
@youkoaoshi For the PC version, the DLC was originally released two months after launch. Offering the same DLC pack on the day of release brings it in line with what's available elsewhere.
@ThatGiloFella That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying!
@youkoaoshi No probs. ^_^ Full disclosure: I did some of the in-game writing, and it's made by two friends of mine, so I hope it does well for them.
Looks interesting, plus hope the humour from the trailer continues through the game. Season pass raises some eyebrows though; fraid I’ll only buy DLC if I know what it is.
Reminds me of one of the Rules of British Comedy: “Always Mention the War”.
I'll wait for Super Rare Games to more than likely publish a physical version
@ThatGiloFella
Seems like a crap excuse to milk more money out. Just charge more up front or include it in the price as its already done. DLC that's already completed before a game launches is terrible.
@Gold_Ranger That option's there for folks who want it, in the Deluxe Edition (which for PC was the base game & season pass), or via the Season Pass as a separate purchase. Key thing is that some people may not want the extra content, so surely it's best that people can choose whether they want to pay that little bit extra or not.
Bear in mind that the game came out in October 2017 for PC, with the 'Secret Weapons' DLC following in December 2017. In my opinion, it's cool of the devs to make the DLC available at release so it's on par with the PC release, versus making folks wait for it, and having anyone 'behind' compared to the PC version.
"Prepare you privates"?
Like it!
Looks pretty cool!
I am extremely ready to join the crew of the bombers in the game which I had played almost one year ago with the kids. If you will also like to be ready for the game then click here about the most unstable members of the adventure game.
