One of the coolest things about Super Mario Odyssey is the fact that the game comes with a built-in photo mode where you can snap images, edit them and share them with others.
Nintendo is clearly aware of the appeal of this mode, as it has just opened a competition via its Japanese site asking players to send in "Joy themed" photos.
The prize? Nothing, aside from Nintendo acknowledging your winning entry. If you're still interested in taking part then make sure you tag your image with the hashtags #スーパーマリオ オデッセイ, #SuperMarioOdyssey, #NintendoSwitch and #べストショットでっせい.

Wonder if they’ll do something like this overseas
It's good to win nothing. That means all entries are only for fun.
@YoshiPilot I don't think there's anything to stop you applying for this one, you don't win a prize after all.
Advertise our lovely game for us, for free! For the sheer joy of it. Brilliant, and it will work, kudos to Nintendo!
Free advertising huh? Nice.
I usually win nothing anyway when I enter competitions so this would be no different.
It gets to be judged by the development team, which - while not a concrete 'prize' - is still better than nothing.
I believe it's in line with the art competitions they used to hold on Miiverse.
@okeribok I quite agree. There is something pretty charming about contest so made for like this.
On a side note, did anyone else notice that #1 in skipping is around 22K skips?!!!!! I thought I did well with 71! lol
@EllenJMiller your comment is sad and is also what happens to me but it make me laugh a lot if that make sense. Kudos and take a heart.
I totally thought the catch was gonna be 'UK only'.
I thought the catch was going to be Nintendo suing you for copyright as soon as you upload the photo to their website.
