Splatoon 2 is a pretty colourful game, but that doesn't mean a bit of extra sparkle would go amiss. The Heavy Splatling Deco may give you a little more pizzazz for your weekend splatting.
It'll arrive at the same time the Kelp Dome goes into rotation, which is September 15th (7PM PST / 10PM EST) / September 16th (3AM BST / 4AM CEST / 11AM JST). It'll have the Splash Wall (Sub Weapon) and Bubble Blower (Special Weapon), but more importantly it'll look pretty darn cool.
So, are you planning to try this one out on the Kelp Dome arena?

I actually run the mingun right now, still getting used to it but im actually enjoying it. This looks like a nice version to try out, once we get it.
Every time I run a Heavy Splatling in TW, we lose at the last second. Every freakin time! Also, shouldn't the Tenta Brella land instead?
I cant get on with the heavy weapons , must be a skill issue lol
I don't use heavy weapons so I'll skip this. Can't wait for the Tenta Brella tho!!! Anyone knows when the Tenta Brella goes live?
I think we get the Tenta Brella next week? Don't quote me on that though.
Tited of waiting for all the weapons from Splatoon 1 to return (especially since they so far mostly reintroduced weapons I don't use). Wish they would release all of them at once...
@ThatNyteDaez @GoldenGamer88 So I just watched the Splat section of the Direct again... and the only thing to get a date was Kelp Dome. They pulled a bait and switch on us with the weapon, I'm so sad.
I'm still more curious about the Grizzco thing, so it looks like I'll focus on that this weekend.
This will be great for me. I love the heavy splatlings! and busting those bubbles with this gun should be pretty easy.
Back on Splatoon I hated the Splatling Gun family until other Nintendolifers talked me into trying it again with a different strategy. I listened and it became my favorite weapon from the first game. When I finally got to a high enough level to purchase my first Splatling on Splatoon 2, I was terrible! I used the same strategy that I used in the first game but for some reason it seems like it takes a lot of shots from this weapon to splat the enemy. Maybe it's just me but it's just not the same anymore. Maybe I'll give it another try with this version.
Anyone else feel that it's different/weaker now?
@dkxcalibur According to this the stats are basically identical: https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Heavy_Splatling
@TimeGuy Thanks! Maybe it's less about the weapon and more about the other weapons.
Most likely, it's just me!
@dkxcalibur I think that you were using damage up in the first game that you felt it got nerfed in this game.
I just played Splatoon 1 online for the first time. It's way too much fun! Like my God it's so fun. I had a good group but then I lost my connection. I ended having a bit of a losing streak after my 14 game win streak. That losing streak was largely down to playing against a bunch of lv 50 Japanese players. The difference in skill between lvl 10 and below vs lvl 50 is enormous. Sorry, I just had to share that. I know it's off topic
@Rocketjay8 No, I know that's not the case as I never used gear with that perk. I usually stick with perks that increase my speed or the larger ink tank or quick fill perks.
Like I said, it's probably just me or the fact that there's some new weapons that tend to play quickly.
I like the splatlings, but it doesn't match well with how I like to play the game. I'm still a boss with the Tri-Slosher, even after the nerf, and I like Aerospray R/M G.
I tried the Heavy on Splat zones and it gave me a good result so I am getting this one
Cool, keep bringing more dlc nintendo!
