Though the latest Nintendo Direct had its share of reveals for new games, it also addressed updates for some current gems. This included new stages and weaponry for Splatoon 2, as seen above.
First up we have the return of Kelp Dome, which will make its debut in the rotation on 15th September. Then there's Snapper Canal, which has a river running right through the middle of the stage. Finally, there was the Tenta Brella which looks... interesting.

Keep the stages coming. The small list of stages in current rotation is getting stale.
Man, Kelp Dome was my 3rd favorite map behind Moray Towers and Arrowana Mall.
What I want, though, is to be able to hear the Splatoon 1 tracks, that I unlocked with amiibo, in the online modes. Why keep them stuck in the arcade machine outside the Shoal?

Yes!!! A welcome addition! I main the brella so I'm excited how the tenta brella turns out!!!
Man, keep it coming! This is why I just bought the game digitally so I can keep it installed on my system memory for easy access for years to come. I'm usually a physical only gamer but this and !HXX are exceptions that need to be accessible any time.

Kelp Dome's been one of my favorites. Like the idea of Snapper Canal as well, wished the surrounding area didn't remind me that much of Mad Max with its wasteland setting. I mean, this canal could've been in Inkopolis as well.
@King_Johobo As in the special? It comes with the Forge Splattershot Pro, which has been added via free update a few weeks ago. Just go visit Sheldon and buy it from him.

So glad to see the old stages returning! Hope they will integrate all of them eventually. The more, the merrier.
Don't know what to think of the Tenta Brella (other than that it would he great for a camping trip ^^). It looks OP but I'm sure the devs know what they're doing. I fully trust their judgement.
