Introducing The SNES-Themed New Nintendo 3DS XL

I prefer if they made a Switch version too

I'd been looking to pick up a Super Famicom New 3D XL for a while now. Seems I must be more a fan of the Super Famicom packaging, as this isn't doing a great deal for me.

With this and the Samus one for the rest of the year, my New 3DS XL console collection isn't getting finished any time soon...

Oh..no...I managed to resist the Metroid limited edition but this is like they made this out of my DNA.

The best news there is Luigi's Mansion 2 for £15.99. No reason for people to not pick up this absolute gem of a game.

I am eagerly anticipating the revel of LM 3 for the Switch. Hopefully out next year Halloween time.

Personally I prefer the 3-4 different faceplates I have in my possession for the regular New 3DS. Choice.

I was considering buying Kirby Triple Deluxe when it was on sale recently, but I'm really glad I didn't now I know it will be added to Nintendo Selects

This looks gorgeous, but already got 3 3DS, and don't really use them now that switch is out.

Too bad this didn't release like last holidays or sometime before the Switchokolypse that wiped the existence of 3DS of my mind. Would've had a guaranteed purchase back then but now? No.

Just preordered the Samus Edition. This looks great, but I can't see myself buying a third New 3DS XL...

I'm actually looking forward to a US version. Should be interesting.

Are the new selects getting physical releases?

This is the only New 3DS XL with the coloured buttons, isn't it? I'm sure that in itself will shift a few units.

Not really a huge effort on Nintendo's part. It's nice and all but it's basically a copy and paste job of the Japanese version.

Really cool design. I would like to upgrade, but I'm attached to my Cover Plates, and I like the size of the New Nintendo 3DS.

Do people just abandon their consoles when a new one comes out? I'm still having loads of fun with my 3DS. I personally think it's easier to take with me than the Switch. Might have to pick up Kirby Triple Delux.

I recommend Luigi's Mansion 2 to everybody.

I will definitely buy a new 2DS XL version though. 3DS? probably not.

I honestly may just import this, the SNES color scheme got nerfed in North America, and I do still need a N3DS....

Its just beautiful. I was very jealous of the Japanese when it launched there in what feels like an eternity ago and pretty much gave up hope that it'd appear over here.

I cannot wait and must have it!

Why don't they give us some SNES faceplates for the regular New 3DS? What happened to releasing faceplates anyway? Seems to have died off much like the GB Micro ones did not long after release. Weak.

If they'd launched this 12 months ago I would be throwing money at Nintendo to get this, but at this point in the 3DS life cycle when I've already got an old and a new 3DS and my SNES-fix coming via the mini in one months time, I'm gonna have to pass.

Been hoping there'd be a New 3DSXL I'd want to upgrade to before they kill it off. This is the one.

Been wanting to upgrade from old XL to 'new' XL for a while, this could tip me over... if I had the money and wouldn't sell out almost instantly! This'll be on Nintendo's website for an hour before being completely selling out, I can see it already.

Very very happy to see Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kirby Triple Deluxe getting the Selects treatment, hopefully Smash for 3DS will go that way too (fingers crossed - aka broke!)
