The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's sandbox approach means that players are finding all kinds of cool tricks tucked away in the world of Hyrule - some of which exploit glitches within the game itself.
Those of you that have been following the game closely will already know about the infamous flying machine glitch which is handy for getting around the massive overworld, but this approach is slightly limited as you need certain items to do it. We've now seen another trick which can be performed anywhere there's a tree, which means it's less of a glitch and more of a cunning shortcut.

Scaling some of those Sheikah Towers can be quite a bind, and there are certain mountainous regions where this trick will come in very handy. Let us know if you've already discovered this shortcut, or if you'll be incorporating into your approach from this point onwards.

This is how I travel anywhere.
A squirrel lived in that tree.
Now it's a flying squirrel.
That's awesome. It's a good idea to use a well placed bomb right at the end to veer the vector directly upwards.
That is awesome. I must try that. A legal way to get high.
Pretty resourceful.
The people who complain about it being boring to climb the towers should take notice.
I'm curious if the game's development team were aware of these little tricks. Some of the shrine shortcuts are amazing, although difficult to pull off.
@Jimmy_G_Buckets They wouldn't be aware of everything. But something like this may have crossed the minds of at least one developer.
It's interesting to see the endless possibilities one can do in the game.
@Jimmy_G_Buckets
These tricks don't exactly break the game, so I don't think Nintendo would worry too much about it. I'm sure the testers, having played the game for months on end, have discovered quite a lot of the possibilities.
I got all the towers over a month ago, still useful I guess
I'm kind of disappointed that all they're using this for is just climbing towers... surely there are more interesting uses for it than that.
I love how people are getting really creative in this game.
I love how creative people are getting, and the cool thing is, the game allows it to happen no problem. These aren't "glitches" at all. Heck, I love that the game gives you more than one way to find solutions. If you want to open a gate, you have the straight forward Zelda solution, or you can just... use one of your special skills and fly over the gates.
Serious swag points for that trick
Cool! Ironically I was thinking today: If you use stasis on a tree and hit it, it won't break but fly somewhere. Seems my suspicion was right.
I thought that bomb would have knocked him off the tree?
Also, where did he get that Switch shirt from?
@Giygas_95 you get a when you buy the DLC season pass. Defense is 1 and it can't be upgraded though.
I really got to try this out, I remember having so much trouble registering that tower too lol
I never try all these cool stasis tricks because I never want to break my weapons
@Shiryu I discovered this trick not long ago, and General Tao was what inspired me to try this, lol.
I've used trees to get around all over Hurule and it's one of the funniest things you can do in the game.
@-DG I have a feeling someone at Nintendo must surely be a "Dragonball" fan from the first moment I realized I could do stuff like this.
Once you have the bird beast windy jumpy power, the towers become a lot easier.
