Earlier this month it emerged that a new batch of Super Mario Happy Meal toys were coming to the US, and now the range is live. From now until 22nd May in the country Nintendo fans can get one of eight toys along with an inexpensive bit of grub at McDonald's.

Each of the toys has a 'special function', and the promotion will also include a sweepstakes to win Nintendo Switch systems; some press release blurb with some words from the Bowser is below.
"Nintendo is always looking for ways to expand its brand, and a partnership with the family-friendly McDonald's restaurants felt like a great fit," said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Like Mario, Happy Meals are something both kids and parents grew up with."
Nintendo fans will want to collect each of the eight toys, which include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Invincible Mario, a Red Koopa Shell and 1-Up Mushroom. Each one of the toys has a special function, like a translucent Mario that lights up in different colors.
In addition to the toys, families can take their fun to the next level by entering a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of 100 Nintendo Switch Prize Packs inclusive of a Nintendo Switch system and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game. Eligible customers that scan and purchase a meal at McDonald's using the McDonald's mobile app between now and May 22 will be entered. Customers get one entry for redeeming any deal in the app and two entries when they purchase a Happy Meal. No purchase is necessary to enter. The sweepstakes is open only to residents of the United States who are 13 and older. Official rules for the sweepstakes, including details about how to enter without making a purchase, can be found at online and http://www.PlayatMcD.com and at participating McDonald's restaurants.
Will any of you be buying a cheap burger in order to get one of these toys?

Well, that's something. Also, was there any 1-up toys in any previous Mcdonalds Happy meal?
Good thing about having kids is I won't feel as off riding happy meals
Ridding lol.... ordering
......silly phone
I'm sure i saw these in Italy last year
Have some junk with your junkfood.
I saw this coming, because on the bottom of those happy meals it says what toy is coming next.
A McDonald's article with no mention of the unboxing video!? Everything ok over there, NL?
McDonald's is a generous company. They offer a day-and-a-half worth of calories for under $7.
I'm loving it
This is the McD promotion in my country Indonesia.
Dang it, Smurf for this year...
But who want some Sea Salt coated Ice Cream ?
Crooked cucumbers; I gave up on McDonald's years ago! I am not going to risk my health again because I want to try to get the Bowser toy!
I'm going to get fat...ter trying to win a Switch. Just gotta get the McDonalds app first.
Upset toilet Mario is gone, I actually wanted that one
A 1-Up Mushroom...in a Happy Meal. Nobody sees the irony in this?
Wow, a red shell? Truly, Nintendo spoils us in all its ventures.
Anyone remember those Wii toys distributed by Burger King?
Graghhh!! I just gave up eating fast food 2 weeks ago and I've done so well! Thanks for screwing with my diet, Nintendo!
Ugh...why not in Canada???
It's been well over a decade since I had a Happy Meal but I may need to get one now. I want that shell!
Good, they swapped Toilet Mario, yet they still have Barfing Bowser.
@Cosmic-K9 Why not just buy the toy then?
I got Weegee with my Happy Meal today!!
Oh yeh!!
to everyone making comments about your health and eating this food. Clearly you don't understand that you don't HAVE to eat the food to get the toy.
Happy toys, not so happy meal.
Please remember you can order just the toy. You don't have to get any food.
Go ahead and eat the toy and collect the food. Mcd's food lasts years on a shelf with all its preservatives and the toy is more nutritious to eat.
Either way you'll be poopin koopas.
Someone brought Mario to work today lol. I guess I'll have to happen through my local McD's to see if I can relieve them of these figures. It'd be nice if these had Amiibo support randomly...
