One of the many games shown off during the Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase was Overcooked: Special Edition, a fast-paced multiplayer cook-off from publisher Team 17.
Developed by Ghost Town Games, this chaotic title sees players teaming up to prepare dishes at high speed, trying to please a restaurant's customers. Nintendo Switch adds HD Rumble functionality to the game, promising players the likely satisfying feeling of soup "sloshing" around in your hands as you carry it across the kitchen.
Also boasting support for 1-4 players, along with the complete original title plus all available DLC in one package, this could be very tempting for Nintendo Switch owners.

Reminds me of Diner Dash.
HD Rumble might be an industry game changer.
I'm happy to see Overcooked! on Switch. I'm sure to get it as soon as possible.
Really good to see this. Perfect for Switch IMHO.
Such a good game. Worth a rebuy
Best couch co-op game in years. My wife and I get so intense when we play this, haha.
It's perfect for Switch.
I definitely want to play this game, and the Switch looks like the best way to do it. I'll definitely purchase it when it comes out, hope the wait isn't too long.
Will def to get this when it's out, so hyped!
I was always interested in this game but never got it. Guess I might just wait for the Switch release.
This game will demonstrate what Nintendo Switch's strengths are. Two-Player Couch Co-op without buying another controller. It's how it should be, playable right out of the box.
Does this have online multiplayer, or just local?
Love this on Ps4, so will definitely pick it up on Switch when I get one later in the year.
Really curious to learn more on the HD Rumble feature for this game, even if maybe i will not grab it
I was hoping for this announcement. Seems like something me and the mrs could enjoy together. Affordable Space Adventures didn't hit the spot, I'm hoping this will.
Getting
This should be fun on the switch
I have wanted to try this. Definitely will get it on the Switch.
I love this game, I just wish there were easier levels. It's hard enough trying to coordinate with 3 other people, don't need every level to make it even harder. Just give me a couple basic levels that don't do anything too crazy so we can learn to work together.
@Swaz That's what the first level is for. lol
@KirbyTheVampire Steam version didn't have online multi. I doubt this is any different. It's definitely a couch co-op kind of game anyway.
@onex Oh okay, thanks.
Yes!!! I didn't bought it for PS4 waiting for this annoucement. It paid of.
Physical release or bust.
I've heard this is supposed to be fun.
@impurekind It is very fun, but also can get extremely frustrating trying to communicate. haha
It's one of mine and the gf's fave co-op games despite the frustration.
Cooking co-op game?
Day one.
@sillygostly Hmmm, Dunsparce... Now, there's a Poké you don't see getting some love very often (especially if he's your avatar pic), hehe
I have this for the xbox one, it's a fantastic co op game but is really boring in single player. Great addition to the switch
This game is absolutely not my cup of hot chocolate.
2 questions for anyone who's played this:
1) How fast is this to pick up from zero knowledge of the game, like for someone who's played modern games, but not too many? Like on a scale of Pac-Man to Pikmin?
2) Is the solo content at all decent? Like on a scale of Daisy Kong to Cranky Kong, how pissed would I be if I can't get a co-op session going?
@Spiders Your scales are awesome
@Shadowkiller97 haha thanks
