Distributions will come in a variety of forms in Pokémon Sun and Moon, with one method being QR codes. The QR Scanner function can only be used in the game after you've cleared the story, so it's an incentive to get through the campaign.
After distributing the first of these - Magearna- in a rather conventional way in North America, The Pokémon Company opted to put the code at the end of the latest movie on Pokémon TV in Europe and Australia. In truth we haven't watched Pokémon The Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel in full, we just skipped to the end and took a screengrab.
1 - Complete the main story
2 - Choose the QR Scanner function
3 - Line up the QR code for Magearna while pressing the R Button
4 - Visit the deliveryman at the Antiquities of the Ages shop in Hau'oli City to get Magearna
5 - Be sure to save your game!
It should be noted that the QR code will work 'indefinitely', so don't fret about beating the game quickly if you've not yet done so. As previously noted this is "level 50 and comes with a Bottle Cap attached", according to Serebii.
Check it out and let us know what you think of this Steel- and Fairy-type in the comments.

How could you, Nintendolife! A movie is meant to be watched!!!!!!!! RAWR!
On a serious note, why did we get Magearna a daylater? What was the point?
You know, that Pokemon reminds me of somebody...
Can't think of who though.
@Piersen Probably MOGUERA.
Watched the movie Monday night while I was cooking dinner. Even with all the commercial breaks, even a few for Nintendo products, and cooking it was still really good. I may have to watch it again on dvd. Made the new S&M graphics look horrendous, but I don't watch the shows, just the movies.
If Level 5 made a Pokémon game like that movie I'd play it. Very JRPG.
...XJ9?
@Tsurii same here. I'm not sure I like the way Lillie is characterized though, it's not a deal breaker though.
@rjejr I would love a level-5 designed Pokémon game. Yo-Kai Watch is one of the best looking 3DS games and the environments are very immersive. I would love to see that in a Pokémon game. I do love Sun/Moon though.
Yay, glad they finally revealed the European code. I'm nowhere near the end of the story, so it might be weeks before I get it (yeah, I know that I like to take my time and play games slowly)
Got mine yesterday after the code was released. Started it a few times to get the best nature (Modest). Hard to believe one person on a forum I follow soft reset 20 times & eventually got a Modest Magearna with 6IVs. That's pretty lucky!
Sadly I'll have no interest in using the creature after I've cleared the story. Am I supposed to just keep it on the off chance that I use it on a future playthrough.
@Mr_Zurkon "I do love Sun/Moon though"
Just to be clear, I was talking about the graphics in the Pokemon TV show that came on after the movie tieing into the S&M games, I worded it poorly before. I don't think there was even a commercial break in between, just a glaring discrepancy between made for theater graphics once a year and made for TV on a daily basis graphics.
The new S&M game graphics do look good for 3DS, but I was thinking more of Ni No Kuni which I recently finished on the PS3 on my 52" TV.
