Another week begins, and as always we have the European Nintendo Download Update details to kick things off. Last week was a bit underwhelming in the region, and we're not going to lie - it's not exactly a barnstormer on the way this week either. Nevertheless there may still be one or two tempting downloads, so let's get to it.
Wii U eShop
Aqua TV (Extra Miles Studio, €4.70 / £3.99) - This is a virtual aquarium, allowing you to customise its look, fish and so on.
Wii U eShop DLC
Aqua TV - Oceanus (Extra Miles Studio, €2.35 / £1.99)
Aqua TV - Thetis (Extra Miles Studio, €2.35 / £1.99)
Aqua TV - Poseidon (Extra Miles Studio, €2.35 / £1.99)
Wii U eShop Temporary Discounts
Nano Assault NEO (Shin'en Multimedia, €7.49 / £6.74 until 8th December, normally €9.99 / £8.99)
Totem Topple (Crystalline Green, €2.50 / £2.25until 24th November, normally €5.00 / £4.50)
Ascent of Kings (Nostatic Software, €1.49 / £1.10 until 24th November, normally €1.99 / £1.49)
Jones on Fire (Joindots, €1.14 / £0.87 until 1st December, normally €5.99 / £4.59)

Wii U eShop Permanent Discount
Defense Dome (HullBreach Studios, €1.99 / £1.79, previously €2.99 / £2.29)
3DS eShop
Lionel City Builder 3D: Rise of the Rails (Big John Games, €4.99 / £4.49) - This places you in control of a train company, where you'll have to maintain trains, tracks and schedules in order to see a profitable bottom line. There are also in-game achievements, hundreds of items to build trains and cities with, and support for QR codes to share content with friends; we gave this its fair share of praise and a recommendation in our review.
3DS Retail Demo
7th Dragon III Code: VFD (Deep Silver, free)
3DS eShop Temporary Discounts
Aqua Moto Racing 3D (Zordix AB, €5.99 / £5.39 until 24th November, normally €7.99 / £7.19)
Alien on the run (Joindots, €3.74 / £3.14 until 1st December, normally €4.99 / £4.19)
Crazy Construction (Joindots, €5.24 / £3.74 until 1st December, normally €6.99 / £4.99)
Murder on the Titanic (Joindots, €6.39 / £4.79 until 1st December, normally €7.99 / £5.99)

My Zoo Vet Practice 3D (Treva Entertainment, €14.99 / £13.49 until 1st December, normally €19.99 / £17.99)
That's everything for this week's Nintendo Download Update in Europe. Let us know what you plan to download in the poll and comments below.

Pathetic again, where's Super Smash Bros. (N64)?
@Grumblevolcano Ditto, I'd have that. And while I've never held out much hope, I'd love to play Tetrisphere again.
Another dry week. Well, anyway I'll be busy with the NES Mini
Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.
The demo, but "Haha, good one, now show the rest of the update. Erm... hello?" too
Gonna check that 7th dragon demo
What a week.
It's somehow getting worse.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I don't know, I think you can't go worse from last week with one new game and bunch of shovelware sales.
Apart from the demo nothing much...
GREAT! BRILLIANT!! PERFECT!!!
I can save some money or purchase something on my backlog.
Besides, I imagine pre-Christmas sales will be few and far between.
I might be tempted by Aqua TV at some point if it goes on sale, as it could be nice to turn my TV into an aquarium, but wouldn't pay full price for it.
But I don't see why people are complaining about the lack of content again... they're probably saving the good stuff for a Black Friday sale... so next week should be a lot better.
Worst fortnight ever!
@DragonEleven Well it isn't Black Friday in Europe but I do recall us getting some sort of sale last year.
What to put on my XMAS list??
Is it Christmas already!!!? Nintendo are rolling out the big guns early, they keep this momentum going they will end up owning Christmas this year! BOOM!!!
Oh no... wait.... I forgot to read the list before I wrote my comment again, let me check............
Oh.
Oh dear.
Oh dear oh dear.
I retract my earlier excitement and would like to substitute it with white hot rage.
I'll make sure to try the 7th Dragon demo at least.
It's a nothingapalooza! Yay!
I thought that said Lionel Richie Builder at first...
@OorWullie Black Friday has been adopted by a lot of shops in the UK over the past couple of years, and although they didn't actually call it that, last year Nintendo did do a weekend of "Cyber Deals" over the Black Friday weekend... so I'm expecting the same this year.
This is a joke.
Pathetic.
Wish I could be busy with my NES Mini... if only there were any in stock!
@Tuulenpoika You're probably right. It'll be hard to top last week in terms of awfulness.
I might as well give up waiting for Sonic Advance.
A virtual aquarium and nothing else this week? Yeesh. So this is possibly how the Wii U is going to bow out this Xmas? Not with a bang, but with a whimper....
And what is up with Nano Assault NEO? It's been out since launch(4 years) and has never had a decent sale price. Until it does I won't be buying it.
I may as well give the demo a try, but nothing else interests me this week.
The trailer for that Aqua TV just makes me hope Nintendo and Arika release a new Endless Ocean for the Switch.
Aqua Moto one week, Snow Moto the other.
Just because the Wii U is a failure doesn't mean it's userbase should be abandoned, especially on the eshop (as the lack of retail games IS understandable).
Oh snap. Its soon christmas and where is all the promising indie games showed in diffrent trailers last year and this year??. Where is smash64,dr mario64, mario party 3, excite bike 64?. TG16 came with 3 games and have been total dead after that wtf.
Decisions, decisions...
Still poor. Will wait for pokemon.
Would say throw out VC games but not after the FZeroX control debacle...
Yeah, freaking upload some 64 games. You have a HUGE library to go through.
Wow.....NOE has given up? Hopefully they are hard at work on updating everything for NS
@RadioShadow The thing is with Sonic Advance on a big screen is it really slows down the gameplay at times, I remember playing it on my Gameboy player. You're better off playing that on a handheld GBA console.
Well... we will have Pokemon next week, yes? Maybe that will lighten the next week's downloads
@wazlon For some reason, some games on the Gameboy Player for the GameCube when set to "Full Screen" mode seem to lag. Setting it to "Normal Screen", that issue doesn't occur.
The Wii U GBA Emulation is actually really good. With F-ZERO GP Legend (which is a fast pace game itself), it played fine.
Nothing this week for me.
I'll take the demo!
Aqua TV ftw.
And this is why I've spend the last week getting wiiware and Wii vc games I've missed before wiiware's inevitable shutdown. Got bubble bobble and I'm going to get bombernan blast, Tetris party, bonk 3, beyond oasis, and neutopia
"Murder on the Titanic (Joindots, €6.39 / £4.79 until 1st December, normally €7.99 / £5.99)"
Wow, fantastic week for sales. There should be another poll, how many copies do you order at once? over 3?
Maybe this this the reason why the Wii U failed? XD
its like they dont want easy money, get those snes games out on the 3ds nintendo, not every 3weeks now
Holy smokes, what garbage.
Aqua Tv looks good.

@LegendOfPokemon your past comments suggest you feel differently about this. Aren't you glad Wii U production ended? Why would you care what Wii U games come out now? Why would you want devs to waste money? Your comment in particular stuck out to me.
This better be hinting at a blow out Xmas sale as one final chance for Nintendo to cash in on the Wii U.....
Sad thing is, out in the Rest of the world of video games it's big releases every week. While Nintendo can't even be bothered throwing their hardcore a few N64-shaped bones
Are they even 1/2 kidding with this update?? Good lord
@G-Boy yup it totally is the reason! Unbelievable!!
I can't even believe they still have the Wii U priced at $299 in the states! Damn thing should be $199! What exactly are they smoking???
@SLIGEACH_EIRE nano assault is quite good little game, little steep on the difficulty curve mind. You're right though, it's never had a good sale price! I bought it at the same time as trine 2 in the early days and that's always on sale!?!
@ULTRA-64 I want to buy it but I've been waiting forever for it to drop to €5. I've no doubts over its quality.
@argh4430 I don't mind no new retail games coming for the Wii U, and I can pass over all the ports of Wii U games from other systems. However, I feel like, in return, Nintendo should give us a better VC selection and good My Nintendo Rewards to still show they haven't completely abandoned the Wii U because they take a lot less time and resources to accomplish compared to full retail games.
Where's muh 80's Overdrive? I thought it was supposed to be out by now.
Ugh, is it going to be like this until March? Why am I asking such an obvious question. Darksiders and Yooka Laylee can't come soon enough!
Gotta say I've put hours into Lionel Train. It's an excellent easy to use and play and create these cool tracks, towns and cities. Really neat especially at that low price well worth it guy
Pathetic, as per usual.
@RadioShadow Cool, I didn't realise that, thanks
