The 20th Anniversary year of Pokémon has been rather busy, with 3DS Virtual Console releases, Pokémon GO, the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon and a whole load of distributions among the events and celebrations. A neat recent addition has been the Pokémon Generations video series, which recreates iconic moments for the games in short and stylish videos.
Episode 4 - The Lake of Rage - is now live for your viewing pleasure, and you can check it out below.

Pass!
Lance's Dragonite is a true badass in this episode(though makes sense since it matches Gold/Silver in-game).
Was that Gold that Lance was communicating with?
Good video!
I'll take all the fanservice I can get, but the animation in this one is... unfinished. Especially visible at 1:31
Whatever Dragonite does in an attempt to look cool it still just looks like a goofy Charizard.
They're OK but definitely not as good as Pokémon Origins.
The story is from Gen 2, and the only Gen 2 Pokemon we see is Houndoom, which is a good pokemon, but where's Tyranitar?!
This episode right here hits right in the feels! As a child, this was the sort of action I visualised as the little pixelated sprites and chiptune music carried out the story of G/S/C. Man, I love these shorts!
So close. We missed the part where Dragonite Hyperbeamed a man aside but still pretty good. Though the Rocket drunks weren't looking sober. Not bad though.
See kids, violence can solve all your problems
Was more of a cameo, but was so excited to see Ethan/Hibiki! Hope to see the protagonists from the other regions too.
@SM4SHshorts: So do I! They're comfy and easy to wear!
Honestly, these are pretty entertaining. This is probably the first time where I've been a bit worried for who Dragonite was up against.
Great but I prefer episode 3 over the episode 4.
Dragonite might just be my new favourite pokémon after that short.
Go home, Team Rocket grunts. You're clearly so drunk you can barely walk anymore. Or you're zombies. Drunk zombies.
My god...
@HnD ....post was unnecessary...
@penamiguel92
Tyranitar isn't in that part of the game. They're trying to be as accurate as possible to actual in game story. Also, the red Gyarados is pretty iconic to the G/S/C games.
Wish they would just bite the bullet bill and do a whole series with these guys. They're so much better than the current show.
This is my favorite of these episodes to this point by far. The depiction of Dragonite as some sort of bouncer is hilarious. He is not putting up with any crap, and neither is Lance.
...it almost makes up for the poor depiction of the elite four previously.
As an unabashed Johto lover, I'm so glad to see that my post-episode 1 fears were proven wrong: Red hasn't pulled an Ash on Ethan, and the latter has silently shown up.
I can pretty much fully
stomachenjoy a Hoenn video now.Show Comments
