I really don't think it will be a NX exclusive, especially from the picture before, in the post he thanks Ubisoft, not Nintendo. They could still make a ZombieU, but investors will not be amazed by an exclusive game for a console nobody knows anything about and from the company that has, in this moment, a failed console. (I love my WiiU, as I still love my Dreamcast, but they are both commercial failures)

I find it amazing and ridiculous that somebody could take over a company against their own will.

@Moshugan Why? Ubisoft are a public trading company, therefore they gave up the right to have a say over who can buy into them, or in the case of Vivendi, take them over.

@Ricube He wouldn't be allowed thank Nintendo yet. And he could be thanking Ubisoft for agreeing a deal with Nintendo. This sequel has gone nowhere for well over a decade and isn't it strange that now concept art is being shown when an NX reveal is imminent? Isn't it strange that we heard the rumours well before these images? And isn't it strange that no platform has been mentioned that it is appearing on? They can't officially unveil it until Nintendo give the green light. In my opinion, obviously.

@Ricube Depends on the nature of the exclusivity. Presumably the hardware company, eg. Nintendo, puts up some money upfront.

And I don't think it's a good idea to look a at a single game project in isolation - it's about longer term relationships and reputation within the industry. A strong relationship with a major hardware company like Nintendo of not going to go down badly, I don't think.

Of course if they gain control, Vivendi could endi BG&E2 and could cancel Ancel.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Are those the TMNT guys? My first thought was actually Shark King from The Flash but Mr.Resetti made more sense for a Nintendo site, and it was funnier.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'm just trying to lower expectations because I don't want to be disappointed, in the end. My only wish is that BG&E will come out on NX, I don't really care if it's exclusive (even if it would be a nice fan service). I see your points, but except from speculations we have absolutely nothing. And I've learned that rumors are very often untrue, even more in case of positive rumors.

I would love it too be an NX exclusive but the game coming too any Nintendo platform would be cool.

I don't see it being an exclusive to just nintendo. Sony has had it listed for a few years now (actually, since the PS3 era and during when they still had their magazine)...this sequel has been talked about for quite some time.

Even if it does become a nintendo exclusive, it could just be a timed one at that...but that depends on how well nintendo's next console becomes...I've already been seeing many e-shop games coming out on PS4 and XBONE, and Zombi was shipped over to PS4 (not as great, but it was shipped). It's also kind of weird that Vivendi...a Universal company...which also owns Sony rights...would make it exclusive to just nintendo...in all matters, I can see it only coming out to nintendo and sony, but again, with the strong fanbase surrounding Beyond Good And Evil, and also the fact that they did the HD remaster for PS3 and 360...I see it coming to all three platforms and possibly PC as well.

Can't wait for the sequel though, it's been long over due. Maybe now we're start getting some other sequels to great games that were looked past from the past...anyone else waiting for a sequel to Billy Hatcher And The Giant Egg???

Vivendi hasn't taken over Ubisoft (yet) so, if Nintendo pays the bill we could end up with a Bayo 2 scenario. That Sony has it listed doesn't mean that it will release for their console - wouldn't be the first time a project dissapears from the radar to resurface as an exclusive.

Seems appropriate with Vivendi and Ubisoft.

Who knows? I mean, Bayo 1's sales were nothing to write home about. That game made itself know by clearance bin sales, despite what everyone was crying when the sequel was announced as exclusive.
Either way, we'll see. There's a saying here that goes "If the river sounds, it carries stones", and that Ubi asked Destructoid to pull down the article about possible exclusivity was... interesting, to say the least.

Oh it's coming to the NX alright and that shark is going to be swimming in a sea of tears from the other console owners when it does.

If the game comes to Ps4 and xbox 1 i dont think it will come to Nx if that is a less powerful machine like people say.

@ThanosReXXX I think these past 2 years have so entirely burnt me out I have no expectations left. Not just NX, but video games as a whole. Entire industry has become too anti-consumer for my liking. Everybody is going to pounce on NX for 1 thing or another.

@rjejr Oh, I'm pretty sure of that too, like I told you yesterday in the other thread. Sometimes it's like just because it's Nintendo, we have to whine a bit more than with the other two, and anything good or great coming out of the whole NX story will ultimately be negatively effected by it.

This waiting game is also not doing them any good. Even a big supporter like SMD has now made a video expressing his concern about this.
