Pokémon Sun and Moon are set to be significant releases for the 3DS this Holiday season, with The Pokémon Company taking plenty of opportunities to reveal exciting new details and features. In Japan there's more to come outside of game reveals, with a Sun and Moon manga on the way to CoroCoro Comics on 15th September.
The core plot will revolve around a new Trainer and his partner Rockruff setting off to explore the Alola region (thanks, Serebii):
More details are due in CoroCoro Magazine this week, while another information drop on the games is also due on 11th / 12th August.
No doubt scans of the manga series will pop up online, and perhaps it'll get localised officially to tie-in with the games.

Doubt this will ever see the light of day in the West.
I wonder if this one will be replacing the Pokemon Adventures Sun & Moon manga if it were to happen.
There's a chance it will be localized here! Diamond and Pearl Adventure got localized alongside Pokemon Adventures: DPPt, so we could see this AND Pokemon Adventures: Sun and Moon.

The manga releases before the games do in september.
So.. I guess this means 90% of everything in the game will be offically revealed next month assuming every mon will get a cameo.
That's good. A Pokemon game without promotional tie-in media is like a fish without water: very dry and smelly.
@MegaBeedrill - It's releasing in Corocoro Comics, which is a monthly manga magazine. You'll probably have beaten the Elite Four by the time Sunny (calling it now!) beats the first Gym.
Iwanko looks cute in that art, but I think I'll stick to the inevitable Sun and Moon chapter of Pocket Monsters SPECIAL. I don't think I'd enjoy the style of these characters much
