When Nintendo of America revealed the free Super Mario Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Wii U Edition it also confirmed that the physical retail edition (including that DLC on the disc) is heading to the region on 17th June; Nintendo of Europe has now joined in with an equivalent announcement.
It's coming a little later to the EU, on 30th June, and like its NA equivalent it will have the Mario content on the disc.
That's certainly welcome news for those that have been waiting for the retail version, and sticking the Mario content front and centre would certainly give the box a little extra appeal.

I'm still hesitating about jumping into Minecraft. Now with the physical edition i'm even more tempted but there's a big BUT: Is this type of game for me? Can you guys convince me? Or go for the physical edition of Terraria launching on June 24? Not really familiar with these type of games but I get the feeling i'm missing out on something big.

@TanookiTV Is there something like progression or something with your character. Or just creating things and sharing/playing it with others?
So, within a few weeks in June, Wii U's retail scene looks like: Wonderbook, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Mario & Sonic and Minecraft. That must be the most retail games being released for the machuine since launch.

@LegendOfPokemon here in Europe we have our date different. The Day then the month so 30/6/16 would be 30th June 2016.
I'll probably pick this up then. I hope the box art is suitably Nintendo themed.

I'll wait a few weeks for this to go on a price drop. Then I'll be sure to pick it up. On a side note why the heck are they making a massive thing about the Mario dlc being in disc? Surely it's not that big of a deal?
@oubie your character is just an avatar, it's only the world's which change depending on how you use/edit them
