While the standard flashy marketing trailers are steadily rolling out for the upcoming release of Pokkén Tournament, Nintendo UK is keeping its capture device busy in order to produce its own run of videos.
It's kicked off a Countdown Clash series, but has also clearly been working on other videos to show the game off. The latest is a combo showcase, showing some of the key move chains that can be put together with various characters. As a player that's typically on the receiving end rather than the distributor of combo attacks, this writer is wincing already.
So, look below to see some Pokémon get mercilessly juggled.

Machamp's first one was funny after the throw. It looks so shiny when it poses for some reason.
The more i see the game the more i want it
Now I know why we got dual and field shifts, to prevent infiniting. Oh and Pika Libre tho.
@Captain_Toad They also said that they wanted to imitate that sense of free movement with Pokemon as well with the field phase. Keeping you from infinitely chaining someone sounds smart too though.
This game looks totally awesome! The only thing that bugs me though is the dual phase thingy. As Captain_Toad pointed out, it's a smart (and probably fun) game mechanic, but I personally tend to prefer free movement so I would've liked the game to be field phase only. Oh well, everything considered there's no way this will stop me from enjoying the game!
Those would take me forever to master, Farfetch'd would probably help a lot.
Watching Charizard getting thrashed was fun.
Sigh, I'm never any good at juggling combos like these in fighting games unless they're built-in combos (and without the ultra-strict timing required in Street Fighter and Tekken). I can maybe land one extra hit if my opponent is air-borne long enough.
@clvr @Kalmaro Heh, I guess those points work out too. Wow, I guess the phase shift mechanic is sounding more cooler than I thought!
@Captain_Toad also, every time you force a phase change it fills your burst bar up big fine. Watch a match and you'll see what I mean
