Yo-Kai Watch is massive in Japan, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for all kinds of cross-promotional activity. However, few ideas are as zany as these McDonald's French Fry holsters, which allow you to slot in your pack of chopped potatoes and keep them warm during your quests to locate naughty spirits.
Naturally, these are limited to McDonald's outlets in Japan, and there's little chance of them coming over to the west at present - unless of course the forthcoming release of the first Yo-Kai Watch game on 3DS proves to be a success.

Hilarious. NOW GIMME MAI GAME!!!
@Rhydas It is very much worth your money. So fun.
You'd have thought these were for trading cards, not french fries.
@RupeeClock its for little kids. And if you have a product that holds fries, you sell a lot more fries. They aren't going to include a toy that is for holding a product they aren't involved with.
@Tsuchinoko Fast food chains have sold toys that aren't directly involved with their food before.
McDonalds has distributed Pokémon cards in the past.

That's brilliant! It was a light bulb moment for me, wondering why every McDonald's Happy Meal toy isn't a french fry holder. Genius I tell ya.
I bet we see them in the west once McD finds some one to pay for them. I think the plastic size and shape lends itself well to a Pixar character. Maybe when Inside out releases later this year on DVD they'll do this guy, seems perfect.
I'd love to import this wacky novelty! Anyone let me know if it pops up someplace for resell! :]
@rjejr It won't be that guy because Disney has an exclusive deal with Subway I believe.
Now.. how exactly do I get my hands on this? I'm leaving in a few days for Japan and this would be a sweet souvenir
Why?
Every time I wrap the fries in the bag they get soggy from the steam and are no longer crispy, I'll pass. Now where's the Pie Holster?
The stupid...
it hurts...
SOGGY FRIES
That's what happens very quickly when you seal them up in plastic.
What is wrong with people.
