Stella Glow, the upcoming RPG for 3DS, is ultimately a swansong for Imageepoch. While that's a slightly sad circumstance, it's another title - being published by Atlus in North America - to look forward to; it's due in the region this Holiday season.
Atlus has now posted the localised opening movie from the game, which is suitably dramatic. We recently shared our early impressions of Stella Glow and were rather impressed, too, as we enjoyed the musical influence and battles somewhat reminiscent of Fire Emblem: Awakening.
You can see the opening cinematic below - let us know what you think.

It's pretty much the same video they show when they announced the game only it's worse because they show no gameplay. Still a nice into movie none the less. 40$ day one buy, 50$ and I'll wait till it drops to 30$
If it got at least 7/10 here, I'm sold. Otherwise, will wait for a discount. On my watch for sure.
I'm quite curious about this game at the moment, and that opening looks nice, though I'd like to see more gameplay footage of it. At least I have a huge amount of time to decide whether to get this since I'm in Europe.
Looks cute.
That was a most uninteresting looking Opening.
@ShanaUnite It wasnt the flashiest opening, but just presenting the music and art style was nice for me. Strangely those two things kind of draw me in, even over gameplay (at least when purchasing it)
I'll wait for the reviews. Does look interesting.
Seems like a great game to add to my collection. Actually it reminds me a lot of Luminous Ark for DS.
Got my preorder in at BestBuy before price jumped to $49.99. And with Gamers Club Unlocked it was actually just $31.99 for me.
That I can do. Although the new $50 price means collectible cardboard box, which means I may wanna switch to store pickup. They always get crushed in bubble mailers...

I took the liberty of digging up some gameplay if you guys are interested. Look out for some cheese at the 2:15 second Mark lol. Looks fun though.

Oh and I don't think this will be 50$. It seems to be their price for in-house games but when they localize games from other companies then tend to be the normal 40$. I could be wrong but I do really want this so I'm hoping.
@Spoony_Tech
I'm just going by the listing price. It was $40 but a few days ago Best Buy and several other retailers all jacked it up to $50.
That gameplay looks fantastic though. Very much like Awakening, although there is one thing I'm not a fan of- and that's the Tactics style direction mechanic. I hate worrying about which direction I'm facing, attacking from the back and sides... It's just blah. But I do like the longer travel distances more like how Fire Emblem plays, mand how each battle goes into a close up of the attack. And I'm really diggin the long range attacks.
That gameplay reaffirms my decision to preorder.
I'm in. It won't be day one purchase, but I'm all about it.
@JaxonH I already don't like the sound of that. Hopefully it's just because of previous Atlus game and that think it might hit at that price.
Atlus has a track (ha) record (ha!) of releasing games with a music CD in first runs. Hope they lump the "English Ver." tracks in one for this one.
Luminous Arc 2, is that you?
I'm still waiting for Luminous Arc 3 BTW :<
I'm pretty excited. Been looking for a fresh atlus game. I'll stay tuned
@Spoony_Tech gameplay looks pretty good. Similar to FE, but turn-based by each character than team, which seems like a good thing. Will be a nice game to wait until FE Fates. Though yeah, if it's $50, it'll be too steep, $40 with favorable review and I'm sold.
The character art reminds me of Etrian's portfolios, the battles remind me of FE and the sprites remind me a little bit of Hatsune Miku (though I've never played any games of that series).
It's interesting, with some fun character designs (Atlus does do a nice job of coming up with funky characters) but still a bit odd seeing the Sega logo on the 'credits' screen.
As much as I've moved away from the more outlandish Manga Entertainment animes, I still enjoy seeing those crazy costumes and outlandish hairstyles. Here's hoping for a demo, cause I'm about done with all my RPGs and it'd be nice to find some fresh blood.
according to amazon.ca and best buy canada it's 59.99....that's too much for me. Definitely will wait until it drops in price.
