Miiverse is a constantly evolving social platform and, every once in a while, Nintendo will push out a new update to enhance the user experience. Everything from extending the number of characters allowed on a single post to easier ways of tracking and finding other users, the fun little diversion has come a long way since its inception. Today, another such update has come, bringing a few tweaks with it.
The update was revealed in a post earlier today by a new Miiverse moderator - in Europe - named Erika. The first change being brought is that a preview of the latest comment on any post will show up right below the post when viewing it on the community page - the comment preview will not be present in the activity feed, however. This feature was added last month on the web version, so the Wii U and 3DS versions are just being brought up to speed. The other feature being brought in the update is that posts from users with similar interests in games will appear on the activity feed; this should help to liven up the activity feed a bit and give it some variety. Check out the original post below,
What do you think about this update? Do you like the new features that it's added in? Sound off in the comments below.

Very nice, good to see MiiVerse improve. Hopefully the promised Smartphone apps arrive soon.
Nice, whatever adds more to my activity feed is good. I have like 98 friends, I swear maybe 20 of them post to miiverse, and that's probably a generous number.
Miiverse just keeps getting better and better! I love it.
I was glad to see the activity feed thing; I follow a bunch of developers and popular users, but the activity feed is still pretty stagnant sometimes.
Great!
Am I the only person who isn't a fan of this update? The two things added both feel like unnecessary clutter to a system that was fine as it was. If I want new friends, I'll go and look for new friends on the communities I post to, I don't need the system telling me. ...but that's just me. I'm probably in the minority here.
I wish Miiverse was just an overlay similar to pressing the home button in a game. Having to launch a separate app is kinda silly.
Press home button, swipe right and bring up the ability to post/view miiverse
I feel like they're scraping the barrel for ideas now.
They should remove the 2 minute rule it's jarring when you do have something important to say but it is overshadowed by others
Hey, that's pretty cool!
Why is Miiverse still a thing?
I don't want random people in my activity feed.
Enjoying these features on the mobile/web version of the Mii-Verse.
Well too bad I was banned for two weeks because I posted pokemon yellow pics XD
This was a week ago
I hate this user matching. I can understand some people may like it, but give us the option to keep our activity feeds for things we want. I want to see my friends posts, not some strangers and even basic functional issues on MiiVerse seem to often prevent me from seeing all my friends posts all the time.
@Chaozrush21 I think miiverse is pretty cool. I'm definitely going to use it to make parties for MH4U. My biggest issue is that it seems flooded with immature children.
These are horrible updates.
@Joshuaamylle
hello J. Sorry to hear that.. but what did you do to cause big ban . Curious .
@GloverMist I personally like the comments thing, but I don't like the activity feed thing. Because I have max friends, 100, and some of them post like 10+ times everyday, so it's hard to keep up as it is, but this just adds unnecessary length to the post shown in my Activity Feed. I am 50/50 on this update. I do want them to bring back the Yeah Counter and reduce the post limit...
@KodyDawg I would love colours on Handwritten posts. It would make pixel art drawings, such as the ones that I do, so much easier to draw, because then I wouldn't need to do all these complicated greyscale techniques to draw. Plus, it would make Handwitten Posts, such as drawings, stand out more in communities, so more people are likely to see these drawings. For example, I draw Megaman on Wednesday and Megaman has 2 different shades of Blue, a light blue and dark blue. Also, if your favourite Yoshi or Shy Guy was a certain colour, then this would help with that as well...
@Mega719 Yeah, like a long comment, that gets broken up because other people commented on that post, within that 2 minutes...
More features are always welcome!
@Chaozrush21
Because if some completely random stranger out there in the world "just beat level 3!" and thinks "this game is fun!", we damn well need to read about it...!
The update isn't bad, but an option to disable feature 2 is needed. If I wanted to see other people's posts that I'm not following in my activity feed, I'd go to a community. Same thing applies to one of the previous updates where it shows the most recent post a friend/followed person yeah'd. Those small little stuff is very unnecessary to me.
It's quite annoying that Miiverse doesn't have that feature when someone else comments on a post you commented. It only follows if someone comments your original postings thread or if the original creator of a post you commented comments on his thread and then the yeahs to your posts.
Can't have a really extensive conversation with a group of people at all since you don't get the notifications of all comments to the threads you are active in.
Also maybe the most important feature that they need to add is private messages on the PC website interface. They need to free up the commenting so that it's not just tied to Wii U.
Then hopefully as autumn and the new Club Nintendo or something else comes up, they will have a new unified system ready so that the 3DS friend list and Wii U lists will be combined into one so that PM is available on 3DS as well.
The 2nd update feature in this new update is kind of useless, but I am happy that it is not filling up the activity feed with all kinds of spam. I can see like every 10th or 15th post is a recommendation, that's ok even though the suggestions are usually really not that good.
