Right now the Wonder Festival is on in Tokyo, a bi-annual event that showcases figurines and toys from smaller companies - which can be bought at relatively high prices as collectibles - and also includes upcoming ranges from major toy companies. When you combine those factors together you're guaranteed some Nintendo goodies.
To start off with something familiar we have a Nendoroid Kirby; we've covered various versions of these before because they're so darn appealing, and the pink ball is no exception.
Nendoroid fans should also be pleased to know that other toys at the concept phase include Marth and Majora's Mask Link.
Moving on we have three sculpture designs, two from Max Factory and one from Phat!, that catch the eye. There's Link, Cordelia from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Momohime from the brilliant Muramasa: The Demon Blade.
In good time we expect some of these to be available to import, at the very least; whether you want cute or stylish, the figurine and toy scene in Japan never disappoints.

Liiiiiink! Ah, curses. I was actually waiting to buy that one Lucina figma someday.
I NEEEEEEED IT (someone post that picture please)
The Phat Company one is a Parfom figure, almost a middle ground between Nendo-style cuteness, and figma style joints/articulation... Probably worth making the distinction, as this means she's not a static one like Link and Cordelia are.
There was also another FE Nendo there, too~ Caeda, I think her name is? (Well, concept art, like MM Link and Marth, but still... xD)
So many cute Nendos announced, I need them all~
I NEED that Cordelia!! She would fit perfectly with my Lucina figma!
Want want want want want want want want want want!!!!!!
@JellySplat
Just need to bear in mind that the sizes of the two styles of figures are fairly different. 1:7 scale (as Cordelia is) can be around 23cm for standard standing figures... Figma are usually 13cm, so there'd be a fair difference there...
To compare, this review has a picture of sizes of all three of 1:7, figma and Nendo of the same character beside each other (need to scroll down a bit, though)
(Forgot to add link, here it is - http://jsgunplareviewandmore.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/nendoroid-yui-takamura-review.html)
These look great quality but the big highlight is Ghirahim in the background of the Momohime image.
@Bisylizzie gotcha! That's good to know.
I still want the figure though XP
The Nendoroid Kirby looks adorable, too bad I can't order stuff online yet.
@JellySplat
That's completely fine, just thought it was worth mentioning. ^^ Looks like it'll be a pretty nice figure, Max Factory's scales do usually look pretty nice.
Why are those Nendoroid's so darn expensive!? I looked up the Toon link, Mario, and Luigi Nendo' prices, and they were all $50+. And the Pokemon Trainer Red nendo is well over a hundred, but that's not the MSRP.
Would really love to buy them, but I'm not about to spend $50 a piece on miniature figures.
Oh so the Kirby is a nendo huh! I don't like nendoroids honestly but Kirby looms pretty different from their usually style and km a sucker for his series. I might just end up buying him. Oh man all this stuff reveal at wonfes looks so tempting. I don't have enough between all this and video games ;____;
@JellySplat Some of those came out awhile ago so there's no new ones, driving up the price since we're kind of at the mercy of preowned sellers. You can try hobby shops or comic, card, etc shops if there's any in your area. I went to a card shop once and was surprised to find they had toon link for $50! Kind of wish I got it but hopefully its still there.
That Cordelia will look excellent next to Tharja
PLEASE NINTENDO LIFE! KEEP US POSTED ABOUT THESE FIGURES.
Especially the Cordelia one.
@Retro_on_theGo
$50 still seems to expensive for a mini figure. I mean, I'm sure they're great quality, but honestly, it looks like something that might be worth maybe $25-30 max.
I do need to find a good hobby shop nearby though, I love those!
@shinokami
My Mom would kill me if I owned that Tharja figure.
AHHHHHHHHHH KIRBY
I want it soooooooo bad. Does anyone know when it's coming out?
I'm adding that Cordelia to my list.
@JellySplat Ah, yeah I understand. I feel the same way honestly. That's why I haven't bought one of those nendoroids.Maybe keep an eye on Crunchyroll. They have deals sometimes on these figures where you can get them around $40.
I was hoping there'd be a Majora's Mask styled Link...
Oh well, getting Momohime was a nice unexpected surprise.
@Retro_on_theGo
Lol! I just unsubscribed from Crunchyroll's figure newsletter, because I was tired of getting ads for 3/4 naked female figurines.
But yeah, I'll check back to their Nendoroid section often to see if I can snag a Link for decent price.
@JellySplat Sorry to hear mom doesn't approve. My significant other got it for me as a christmas gift!
@JellySplat I feel ya! I hate that too. It gets kind of gross seeing how much of those type of figures are pumped out after awhile.
Definetly will be picking up Cordelia! And more than likely the new Link one. I like how they're doing Fire Emblem figures though! It's awesome!
@Vineleaf
I wouldn't buy it even if she did approve, but yeah thanks!
@Retro_on_theGo
IKR? It makes me feel like a perv...
There was artwork for a Nendoroid-ified Majora's Mask Link shown as well.
OH, that Cordelia pose is just...perfection.
The kirby looks amazing
Still waiting on a Mega Man nendoroid....
As a Kirby fan, I naturally would love to have that Kirby figure, but given that it's easier to find Kirby merchandise than it is to find the Muramasa: The Demon Blade merchandise (absolutely amazing game by the way), if I had to choose to have any one of these figurines, I'd go for the Momohime figure most of all.
They all look great though, very nice figurines.
awesome!
