Curve Digital recently announced a partnership with Size Five Games to bring its Steampunk Cybercrime Caper, The Swindle, to the Wii U eShop in 2015. This version of The Swindle will be developed and published by Curve, and will launch on the Wii U and practically every other platform know to man except the 3DS.
Dan Marshall, developer and owner of Size Five Games, commented: "Working with Curve means I'm able to bring out a high quality console version of The Swindle at the same time as PC, which allows me to spend my development time on finishing up the PC version and giving the game the vital polish and balance it needs."
The Swindle is a mixture of platform, action and stealth gameplay. Players will be breaking into buildings, hacking systems, stealing cash and then charging to the nearest exit to the sound of alarms and breaking glass. The buildings and levels you'll be exploring are all procedurally-generated, and players will be able to upgrade their thief with new skills and tools after every job, allowing them to take on bigger buildings with more elaborate security.
Originally announced for PC in 2011, The Swindle was previously cancelled by Size Five Games after Marshall couldn't find a way to make the elements of the original hold together in a way he was happy with. The new version has been rebuilt from the ground up, focusing on procedurally-generated thieves and levels, and was resurrected in October last year following many fans expressing their disappointment in the original cancellation.
Curve Digital Managing Director Jason Perkins commented: "The Swindle is the latest in a long line of high quality indie titles from UK developers that Curve are proud to be bringing to console. There's a huge audience for polished indie games on all the major formats, and The Swindle's mix of stealth and platforming make it a perfect fit for console gaming."

Nice art style!
I like the sound of this....nearly finished stealth Inc 2. this would be an ideal replacement!
Wow it looks interesting.
Reminds me of Stealth Inc. 2 which I loved! Curve is one of my favourite Wii U publishers.
I like the premise, but something felt off in the trailer. Maybe it was how the game slowed down during an action (breaking glass/hitting someone).
Wish all indie games had this amount of polish..another can't miss effort by curve..they're bringing it on wiiU!
This looks really good. Not a huge fan of the slow motion as it looks more like frame rate drops then cinematic.
Great news! Curve Digital produces quality stuff! Stealth Inc. 2 is my favorite from them so far.
Kinda neat lookin'. Might have to check it out.
I might be interested in this maybe or maybe not would depend on how much it costs and how it would work with controller.
Well seeing as I love games in which you play the role of a thief I can pretty much guarantee I will get this! Looks very promising so far!
Wow this looks really cool. I'm definitely interested.
Even though I love me some 2D sidescrollers, I feel that there are so many indie games like this (obviously the mechanics are different) that they blur, and I have no clue where to start, so I never do
I love Robbery Bob on Android and have always thought I'd like to see that idea expanded into a proper console game, this looks like it may do that.Yet another quality release from Curve to look forward to.
