With the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U rapidly approaching, we can expect plenty of information and reveals in the coming weeks; Masahiro Sakurai has raised hopes of another Nintendo Direct, stating that an announcement is coming to reveal the game's "true potential".

The game designer is still posting daily on Miiverse, of course, with snippets of new features being shown off. The latest post, below, shows off some new trophies — Zael from The Last Story and Fatal Frame characters — and outlines a new Photo Studio mode [Update: actually it's not 'new', we forgot it featured in Brawl], in which you can post trophies for humorous results.

We suspect Miiverse will be flooded with witty creations when the game launches, and this looks like a more durable and flexible alternative to the screen capture / gallery equivalent in the 3DS version.

Are you looking forward to experimenting with this in Smash Bros. for Wii U? Let us know.
