Remember Sega Arcade Classics Volume 1? Well Hardcore Gaming 101 founder Kurt Kalata is taking a break before starting Volume 2 and has put together another fine tome in the form of Hardcore Gaming 101 Presents: Castlevania.
Kalata will be famous among seasoned Castlevania fans as the man behind The Castlevania Dungeon, one of the longest-running and most well-respected Castlevania fan sites on the web. This new book covers every game in the franchise and is based on the reviews contained on the site, but these have been almost entirely re-written and feature much in the way of additional information and content.
The book is available in physical and digital forms, with the print version costing $25 / £17 and the Kindle edition a somewhat cheaper $6.99 / £5.15.
We'll be looking to give the book a comprehensive review in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, let us know if you'll be laying down some cash for this by posting a comment below.

I'm sure there are lots of people who want this...just not me. I love to read, but this doesn't interest me. Id rather just replay them myself.
Smh, I miss the days when Nintendo Life was mostly about games. Now it's more about books and soundtracks because of the lack of games coming to Nintendo platforms.
If it explains the story that Nintendo of America insisted was removed (The last translation patch for the Famicom one has a good text intro) and it is good I might be interested.
I played Rondo of Blood in Japanese as well (Still loved the cutscenes though).
awesome, good ol' castlevania dungeon
everything i know, i see it here at some point.
so if for some reason i miss some retro news somewhere else, i know it will be here lol.
boy could i contribute...
I got the Kindle edition yesterday. The book is really cool but, the words are so tiny that reading it is giving me a headache. So far the normal ways to make text bigger or to zoom in, are not working.
