The official Pokémon website has confirmed that the upcoming mini-series Pokémon Origins will be available to watch exclusively on Pokémon TV from 15th November.
The upcoming four-part adventure is based closely on the very first Pokémon games, Pokémon Red & Blue, meaning that Ash Ketchum is nowhere to be found. The story follows Red as he embarks on his quest to become a Pokémon master. Along the way he'll encounter Team Rocket, battle his rival Blue and even have a stab at the Pokémon League.
Although only the first episode of Pokémon Origins will be available on 15th November, the Pokémon website does state that the remaining three episodes will be added over the following days. The release date above applies to both the US and UK.

Haven't watched Pokemon in years...
So Doctor Who, Friendship is Magic Season 4, and Pokemon: The Origin will be premiering in November. Cool!
They really need to add that app to Wii U and 3DS.

@WingedFish No where, but it's on an app and not TV. So it's probably Subbed.

@rjejr Not yet, but why wouldn't they release something like this on TV first if it was dubbed? The only reason they have nothing subbed on the website/app is because they've had a need for it before. If you're gonna release something as niche as subbed anime, you may as well put it on a more niche avenue for people to watch it.

At least this 4 part series will be better than the whole boring Poke'mon series put together and I hope the show be subbed.
@CanisWolfred pretty sure the little shorts before the main Pokemon movies have been released exclusively on Pokemon TV now rather than on TV and they were dubbed.

@Trululu - Its on the Pokemon website, so however you access that I guess. Though I dont know how they stream it, if you need Flash or Silverlight or what. Dont think the Wii U would run it.

It's hard for me to be excited for this when I chose Squirtle.
I haven't watched a Pokemon series in years. Not since the original season. So this may finally be my chance to re-immerse myself into the wonderfully gorgeous universe of Pokemon. And I personally can't wait!
But Red's supposed to have black hair like in Pokémon Adventures...
And Blue is Green in Japan. And I don´t want to see an english dub but the original japanese one.
Hmmm... so how will Red be able to capture all 151 Pokemon, fight Team Rocket, battle his rival, battle all 8 gym leaders, and the Elite 4 as well as the Pokemon League champ all in four episodes?
Was really hoping this lasted longer than four episodes, dang. I know it would be hard running two Pokemon shows. Was also hoping for a Cartoon Network deal, although it would be pointless with four episodes. Maybe a DVD/Blu-ray will come out and it will be kind of like a movie experience. Nonetheless, I'm ready for Pokemon season!!!

@themac2001 what r u talking about? His name is blue because of reds name. The idea came from water beating fire. If the main characters name was blue then yes, the rival is known as green. It was the simplest way to make a character the audience can identify with. That way if the player didn't want to give the character an actual name there would still be a conflict between the two. It's all about the struggle of beating an opponent who had an obvious upper hand. Hence prof oak saying "you've been rivals since birth".
