When it comes to localised titles, a release in North America doesn't always mean the same arrival in Europe and PAL regions, as not all publishers cover both territories. Atlus is a case in point, which means that exciting releases such as Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan may arrive in North America yet bypass Europe, until another publisher steps up.
One publisher that endeavours to fill in some of these gaps is Ghostlight, and it's today confirmed that it's bringing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked on 3DS to Europe on 5th April. Admittedly it's been a lengthy wait, with this one arriving in North America on 13th August 2011, but it's a welcome opportunity to tackle the expanded and enhanced re-release of the DS original.
As you'd expect from a Shin Megami Tensei title, it's not likely to be destined for mainstream success, but it's certainly worth consideration for fans of its genre. Though lacking stereoscopic 3D visuals, it has additional content and full voice acting to back up the already polished DS game; we gave it a solid 8/10 recommendation in our Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked review.
So, European 3DS owners, are any of you planning to track this one down?

Got it preordered so day 1 for me. It's a bit of a bad time though, right before Fire Emblem.
Yay, I'm glad we've finally got a solid release down, even if it is a year late.
Get it guys. You won't regret it! Wonderful game and deep strategy.
I feel a little guilty for having both of the Devil Survivor games just sitting barely played (still in the plastic wrap, in 2's case) on my shelf while gamers in Europe haven't even had the chance to play them yet.
It is about time...grrr all the nice rpg's come at once here in Holland.
It's good to finally have a release date and its only 6 days before my birthday too. After losing my 3DS at the end of December and all my downloads with it, I was thinking of waiting 'till Nintendo implemented a proper account system before getting a new one but this and Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 14th June might convince me to ask for a new one for my birthday.
I've never played any of these games but have been curious about them for a while now. Could someone recommend the best place to start?
That was about time, feels like I've been waiting for years. Wait, I have (-_-')
Well it's about bloody time Now, where the frigging hell is Bravely Default?
Really interested in it, but now I'm really losing count of all the games I want for 3DS coming this year in europe @_@
At first I was glad to see so many titles coming, but please.. STOP NOW!!! XD
RPG Fans would love this game. Plenty of replay value. Ultimate goal is to defeat the fallen star.
Finally!
It's actually been confirmed that Etrian Odyssey 4 will release on the European eshop.
@AJWolfTill Do you mean Shin Megami Tensei games in general, or the Devil Survivor series only? Since there are quite a lot of other SMT games.
If you just want to start playing the Devil Survivor games, Overclocked is an enhanced port of the first game, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, which saw no or very limited release here in Europe iirc. At the moment there are only two games in the Devil Survivor series, Devil Survivor and Devil Survivor 2, however 2 is still yet to release here.
Basically, buy this. Its an enhanced port of the first game and is a great way to get into the series. If you like it, you can get Devil Survivor 2 when it release soonish. It should also be a good way to get into other SMT games too.
It's a great game, but a cheap port, the jack of 3D besides for the fusions was rather lazy IMHO, but like I said, other then that.....great game
Hey, its my namesake game . I have owned since 2009. Glad Europe is getting this enhanced version now.

Woah woah. Be careful with that. EO4 officially announced for EU region.
As for Devil Survivor - definitely gonna give it a try. The more RPGs on 3DS the better. I think the genre perfectly fits handheld platform.
The addition of the Demon Compendium in this enhanced edition makes it well worth purchasing. Not to mention the top notch voice acting. I had a blast with the original on the DS, but Overclocked took it to another level indeed.
Be prepared to GRIND
