Although the eyes of many European Nintendo fans may be fixed on this Friday - we hear that there's a big hardware launch, apparently - the crazy world of downloadable software trundles along regardless. We've got a handheld-focused selection for you this week, with games for your 3DS and DSi consoles but nothing for the soon-to-be-replaced Wii.
3DS Download Software
Aero Porter (Level-5, €4.99 / £4.49) - Part puzzle game, part airport management simulation, this game was released as part of the Guild01 collection in Japan (along with Liberation Maiden) and is being published in the west as a stand-alone download. "While this might not be a first class experience, upgrades and StreetPass features keep this from being an economy flight," sayeth our Aero Porter review.
DSiWare
DotMan (Agetec, €1.99 / £1.79) - Released in North America over a year ago, DotMan has taken his time coming to European shores. "The simplistic DotMan definitely isn't for everyone, and the repetitive gameplay and confusing, ineffective power-ups as well as the ugly visuals and audio don't help," we said back in our September 2011 DotMan review. Simply put, the wait hasn't been worth it.
3DS Demo
The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave (Genius Sonority, Free) - If you've already consulted our The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave review then you'll know how big a deal this game is. North American players have been enjoying its charms for a few weeks now, and the release of this demo in Europe suggests that it won't be long before The Denpa Men expand their influence even further.
New Style Boutique (Nintendo, Free) - Also known as Style Savvy: Trendsetters, this game allows you to open your own clothing store and quite literally go wild with fashion. Check out our glowing review of Style Savvy: Trendsetters here.
3DS Retail Software
Super Pokémon Rumble (Nintendo, €44.99 / £39.99) - Another case of Europe getting a title change - this was released in North America as Pokémon Rumble Blast. "We feel comfortable recommending it, but we also feel compelled to remind you that a very similar game is already available through WiiWare, and it's less expensive as well. The choice is yours," was our verdict when we reviewed it back in 2011. Wise words indeed!
Anything from that little lot take your fancy, or are you counting down the days until the European Wii U launch instead?

Nintendo Presents - New Style Boutique Demo is in the eShop already. Been there since the 1st of November. Or am I wrong?
@Tsuchiya This is another demo. The first one was just a fashion contest. This is something else. I think.
Anyway, deffenetly cheking out the Denpa Men demo.
So glad Denpa is almost here for you guys. Amazing game.
Oh finally, we get to play the Dempa Men demo. Why not release the game at the same time though?
Nice to see more retail software coming to the 3DS, but Super Pokémon Rumble is not a £40, oh hell no.
It may be my most played 3DS title by far, but that was only because I was obsessed with 100% completion.
Imagine this: There are 17 unique Arceus forms.
When you take on a tower dungeon, there is a 1in20 chance that there will be a legendary pokémon at the end instead of the usual boss.
There is a 1in2 chance that legendary pokémon will be an Arceus, and a 1in17 chance that will be the specific kind of Arceus you are looking for.
Good god that took me days.
Definitely buying Aero Porter and looking forward to giving the demo for Denpa Men a go... hopefully we should have the full version next week or something then.
@Savino The developers said they were working on Sonic Racing Transformed at least a year before MK7 was revealed to have gliding and driving under water.
If Super Pokemon Rumble had been €20 I would've bought it, but now it's way too much. I don't get the stuff about not clashing with shop prices since the shops' prices are much lower anyway.
@RupeeClock Yeah, I eventually got bored and gave up on all the Arceus forms before I had them all.
By that point though I'd already spent a good 80 hours on the game so not bad.
I'd definitely recommend it for anyone, but I recommend tracking down a copy of the physical version (although even that seems to still be close to full price where I've looked) for a bit cheaper... with the bonus of actually physically getting to own it.
Before I bought it I originally wasn't sure of if I wanted to pay that much for it, but it ended up being a really worthwhile purchase.
Oh finally, we get to play the Dempa Men demo. Why not release the game at the same time though?
If I remember correctly NA also got the demo before the full release. I'm not saying it's a great idea, but one positive side effect was that you'd have a lot of time to level up your squad in the demo, so that when the full version comes they'll be powerhouses. It's great that they let you export your team...a very generous feature in a very great game!
I bought Super Pokemon Rumble back in the summer £15 brand new from retail! Anyway, Aero Porter for moi. Once again, Puzzle Quest DSiWare? Cave Story 3DSware or DSiWare? Etc Etc Etc.....(EU Ninty gamer problems)
Damnit, just release the full version of Denpa Men already, I'm waiting like crazy ;__;
Nice, I'll download The Denpa Men's demo ASAP. I might eventually get Aero Porter but I'm really waiting for Crimson Shroud.
@Philip_J_Reed
You can actually do that?
Pokemon isnt worth £39 pound! what rip off specially when you can get it at gamestation for about £12.99 :/
You can actually do that?
Yep! You get to keep all stats, progress and items in the transfer, so no time spent in the demo is wasted.
Denpa Men should be out for you next week if the demo hits this week. Besides, you can transfer date from do to full version so just level up a lot in the demo... You'll need it.
@Philip_J_Reed
Awesome, I'll be sure to get the demo then
Super Pokémon Rumble for 40 € !!!
Are you mad Nintendo? I bought it for 9,99 € !!!
finally a demo for denpa men.
seriously the eshop is getting better and better. so many games i havent bought yet
You guys are going to love the DenpaMen. Demo means the full version comming soon!
Amazon has Pokemon Rumble for 25.00 (new) **Scratches Head** Dont get Duped!
The Wii U release is so last week... haha just kidding EU. I love my system so far, so start getting excited Hopefully people from different regions can be friends. I am thoroughly enjoying Nintendo Land, NSMBU, Scribblenauts and ZombiU
I was expecting Last Blade 2. Oh well, I'm spending the points on something else instead.
I liked DotMan!
Will get me some Dotman, looks like a really nice version of Dodge 'Em, and Agetec's Magical Whip was an excellent game, one of the best I've downloaded recently on any format. As for Denpa Men...meh. Not saying there's anything wrong with the game at all, but it just does not appeal to me even in the slightest....will be a while before I even get around to trying the demo. Hopefully it'll surprise me and be great when I do though.
Denpa Men looks really, really weird...
But I'm dying to try it out!
Hopefully this means Pokemon rumble blast will come out in other regions, but for less
Aero Porter is part of the Guild01-collection, and because of that a must-buy for me =).
Nintendo of Europe ... what are you doing when will we in europe get something worth buying in the eshop!!! If the want the eshop to be a success then we need games like cavestory, Fractured Soul people in america are very lucky with all
the great releases the get. There are some real nice games available in the eshop don't get me wrong but the last couple of weeks/months I didn't buy anything because most games are not worth buying.
Why is the so major difference between europe / america / japan were living in a digital age and it still needs months for games to be released.
Still waiting for RCR on WiiWare...
Still waiting for LEGO:Lord of the Rings demo...
I'll indefinably get the Denpa Men demo, but nothing else for me this week.
Hope you guys enjoy Denpa Men!. Truly a great game.
I'll definitely be getting the Denpa Men demo, and possibly Aero Porter...
I'll definitely gonna try the demo for Denpa men but I won't be getting it any time soon since I have only €3.XX in my wallet.
I'm still waiting for Earthbound on Virtual Console...
The Denpa men demo it will be!
Cave story... Did U just hide on a cave and nobody said the story of why you were there and not on the european eshop?
Super Pokemon Rumble? :l maybe.....
"It's 40 bucks plus tax" O NO!
The Style Boutique demo for me.
