Ubisoft has released footage of Assassin's Creed III which shows off the highly-anticipated naval warfare component of the game.
A first for a series where contact with water previously meant instant death for some unlucky assassins, this section of the game looks set to add a bit a variety to proceedings and break up the endless skulking around in the North American wilderness.
Assassin's Creed III is expected to launch on Wii U later this year. The exact date is still to be confirmed.

Wait a sec, minefields???
I love the way they use the waves. But maneuvering the ship looked boring and as soon as he mentioned you'd be going through minefields, any excitement I had died.
What is with this guys accent??
Pirates of the Caribbean Assassins Creed Edition.
Coming to a console near you,Christmas 2012.
Assassins Creed: The Wind Waker
The gameplay video previewed back at E3 was MUCH more engaging and thrilling actually. One of the highlights of E3 for me and I'm not a particular fan of Assassin's Creed (haven't played any of them).
@Morphtroid
That would be fun to bring seafaring back to Zelda with more realistic visuals like these.
Speaking of the E3 footage: It should have come with a warning! That footage didn't represent Assasin's creed in any way! From what I know, Assasin's creed is mostly about stealth, climbing obstacles, and eliminating certain characters! The sea-faring in this title is only just a small part, I guess!
Eff the troll i'm gonna enjoy it.
