The latest trailer for The Last Story has arrived, introducing the main group of characters and showing off some dramatic moments. There are a lot of grand set-pieces, clashing swords and even a dragon packed into the second half, suggesting that Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi hasn't held back in the storyline.
The Last Story hits Europe on 24th February, with an officially confirmed limited edition also available. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

man i wat this game so bad but onlh1 thing. it looks so ugly. i know the graphics aren't everything bridage will torch me but cmon. after seeing two games by this same studio i am disappointed. really wish this would have been pushed back and worked on a wii u game.
stuff like Mario galaxy and xenoblade are colorful and stuff so SD resolution works. this however looks worse that. Lost Odyssey and it looks better when you veiw it in a upscaler.
also time to put money down for xenoblade to make sure we vet this.
Ooooooo i like:)
Can't wait! Who could say 5 years ago that all the technology of the Playstation 3 would not be able to produce the definitive "Final Fantasy", but the humble Wii would! Technology is no match for skill and artistry and Sakaguchi and his team have both in excessive quantities. Will this beat the mighty "Xenoblade Chronicles" on my top list of Wii RPGs, I wonder...
Where's the Dragon?
That thing at 1:12 looks like a dragon to me.
@shiryu
I'm assuming you haven't played lost Odyssey for 360. that game is the best final fantasy game tthis gen. this looks to be something completely different.
I doubt this will beat XBC but this still looks amazing!!! It sounds like they've done another great job with the voice acting too but I hate the way they've pointlessly changed the names of almost all the main characters. Syrenne is the only main character who hasn't had a name change and even then its spelled differently. These are all the name changes:
Original -> English Localization
Elza -> Zael
Quark -> Dragan
Seiren -> Syrenne
Yuris -> Yurick
Jackal -> Lowell
Manamia -> Mirania
Kanan -> Calista

Yep, that's an eagle or something, definitely not a dragon. I can't see a dragon in that trailer at all. There's a Dragan though.
Who's ready to inception a Last Story localization into the Regginator's mind? >:3
My answer ? 0:33 !
Man, the realism of Syrennes expression... my goodness.
Looks great! I actually think the graphics look fantastic, considering the Wii's rather limited horsepower. In some ways, I might prefer this game to XBC, but honestly I couldn't say for sure because I haven't played either one. NL, could you guys consider doing a comparison feature on these two RPGs (LS and XBC)? Just a thought. Hopefully it will eventually come to NA.
@bauckster I've played XBC but I could compare it with TLS from what I do know about the game:
XBC takes around 70 hours if you don't do anything optional and can easily take you over 100 hours (I did some of the sidequests but not all of them and it took me 120 hours to beat it but I could've played for a while longer if I did more sidequests) whereas TLS is supposed to be around 30 hours long but there are both Co-op and competitive online modes to add more replay value.
XBC has a massive game world with many large locations (along with two towns) with many sidequests to do in most areas and an auto travel mechanic that lets you instantly warp to areas within each location whereas TLS has one big town which is like a hub that you visit in between each chapter with sidequests that you can do within the town (some of them take you to dungeons though) and there's normally someone to talk to or something else to do that takes you to the next chapter of the game.
Both are action rpgs but TLS focuses on combat more than XBC does and there is a lot less exploration in TLS. Also, you can have up to three party members in battle at a time in XBC and up to 5 in TLS ( I don't think you can have more anyway).
@mariofanatic128 Wow, thanks for all the insights! It's definitely very helpful. I didn't realize that XBC is quite THAT big!!! I do really like exploration elements, but also think it could take me YEARS to finish XBC since it is so big, lol Sounds like you definitely get your money's worth, though. I'll ponder this a little while longer...
DAMN! It Looks awesome!! Can't wait to play this gem!!
I like the bullet-time pimp slap at 1:22.
@1 I know right. These graphics sux. Almost as if it were a Wii game or something >:{
I definitely am interested in this game. Hopefully, North America will get the limited edition of this game as well.
i actually love the graphics and the character renders in the game, based on the footage in that vid.
can't wait when this comes out- has the potential to become wii game of the year.
God, I want this. Hope NOA picks its up soon.
Or else I'll be sending a Blue Shell their way...
Looks amazing... I really hope this comes to the US!
