A little something for everyone this week — other than Wii Virtual Console fans, that is — from WiiWare demos to forgotten classics.
3DS Virtual Console
Catrap (Game Boy, ASK, $2.99) — The original turning-back-time puzzler featuring cats — take that, Blinx the Timesweeper — this game is exactly what Virtual Console is about: a hidden gem given a new lease of life. Check out our Catrap review for more.
DSiWare
1001 Blockbusters (Selectsoft, 200pts) — How many levels of Breakout-style action are enough? Selectsoft is hoping the answer is more than 1,000 and less than 1,002 with its new DSiWare download. We'll bust on through to create a review soon.
Furry Legends (Gamelion Studios, 500pts) — Formerly known as Furry Legends: Beginnings, this portable accompaniment to Furry Legends on WiiWare is finally available on DSiWare. We'll have a full review soon.
WiiWare
101-in-1 Explosive Megamix (Nordcurrent, 700pts) — Another compendium of forgettable minigames from genre 'masters' Nordcurrent, you probably should read our 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix review before dropping your hard-earned on this.
WiiWare Demo
FAST Racing League (Shin'en Multimedia, free) — Shin'en's blisteringly fast futuristic racer now has a free demo available for you to try before you plump down your points. After that, you can read our FAST Racing League review for more information.
Nintendo Video
Night of the Living Carrots Part 1 (DreamWorks Animation) — A video fresh from Nintendo's recent team-up with DreamWorks, the Monsters vs. Aliens crew chance upon some zombie carrots.
What's on your digital shopping list this week, fans?

I'll take the demo, please.
Sill no European update yet... normally hits us after 1pm on a thursday.
@Raptor78 2pm in the UK, not long left now.
We're getting Golf on 3DS VC, the NOE site updated with that, but as for the rest of the services - who knows.
A new 3DS video downloaded for me already in Ireland but no other 3DS service updates (a new magic trick, yawn) yet.
Thanks Cipher, been checking the shop since 1pm. lol
Usually Nintendolife have already told us what we are getting so im not so eager in checking but hadnt heard a thing this week.
@cammy
In England we got a 3D advert from SKY TV as well for a meerkat program which was pretty nice actually, for an advert.
@Raptor78 No sign of any press release from Nintendo this week, which is really weird. Still, we'll know soon enough!
Now we know why Nintendo didn't put out a PR...
We got Golf. Just Golf. No Wiiware. No DSiware. Nothing else. Worst...week...ever!
Haha, nice Blinx poke - I still have a copy on my X-Box shelves. But Blinx had time shifting AND cell shading, although it could be a little hard to fit an X-Box in your pocket.
Wow. Furry Legends is a nice surprise. Not and instant buy for me, but i'll be looking for some early impressions on this one.
@Number_6 I love your Fragile Dreams avatar. That chicken still gives me nightmares.
I have lost all faith. Nintendo has abandoned us.
might get 1001 brickbusters or whatever its called if its not raining.. got to go to a wifi spot to download
I'll just take Catrap and pretend europe's update was good too.
1001 and 101-in-1
Hmm.... Is this a secret binary code?
Nice. I'm liking the dreamworks material, it's making the video 3d stuff more worth it; longer and better produced material than the others. I could do without the Blue Man Group stuff, and even the Extreme sports trailers are pretty boring and not really good 3d. It's to bad the live action 3d stuff isn't shot by someone actually trying to make good use of the 3d effect, but rather shooting video as they always have. (hint: don't shoot blue people in a blank white studio if you want them to stand out as a separate layer)
Also can't wait to try out Fast, (as if we need any more convincing to buy it). Perfect since I'm broke and it's my birthday today (34 years of Atari and Nintendo makes a pretty happy life).
I'm really enjoying the DreamWorks videos. I wish I could save them to the system!
Sweet, a demo for FAST.
im going to download the demo right now
RIGHT NOW
This really sucks for those who purchased the Wii primarily for the Virtual Console.
And those people have had four years of Virtual Console games for the Wii.
Its pretty clear that this is the Wii's last year. And given a console's usual lifespan, 2006 - 2011 is about typical.
Oh...Part 1, I knew something was off when that video ended. xD
Wish we could see movies on this thing...
I'm still playing Zelda 4 Swords so I'll forgive Nintendo for this weeks selection
Now why couldnt they give us Cattrap last week instead of the pool game?
Well looks like another game to add to my list of future purchases.
Catrap looks fun, but I'll wait for impressions before purchasing. It's good we finally got it, though. I want some more third party 3DSWare titles!
Hey cool we got a demo for Fast. I'll have to try that out later because I've heard plenty of good things about that one.
Booooooo, Wii VC-less week. HOORAY, BEER!
Got Catrap and 1001 Blockbusters and lovin' em both
The best week ever!!!
Yay! I was wishing for Catrap yesterday and we got it!
Catrap and FAST demo for me. And if Furry Legends is as bad as the trailer on the eShop, that's 2 years of waiting for disappointment for me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I am loving this CATRAP game.
aHH YES, frickenn catrap
If I ever get a 3DS, I might get cattrap, I'll have to check the review, see if it's up my alley.
yawn*
AH! Its a two parter, I thought it just ended with Dr. Cockroach (or whatever his name is) sitting on the beanbag chair.
