The relentless onslaught of Angry Birds to conquer all mankind's free time continues apace, with the game heading to WiiWare and DS, but the avian domination doesn't stop there, with the title flocking to 3DSWare in future too.
Developer Rovio Mobile confirmed via Twitter that three Angry Birds games – presumably Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and the upcoming Angry Birds Rio – would all be coming to the 3DS's eShop in future rather than retail.
With the Nintendo 3DS eShop launching in May you won't be seeing the birds and the pigs for the first few months of the 3DS launch period. Enjoy the respite: Angry Bird world domination is just a few months away.

And Angry Birds Rio is an advertisement and will be free on everything else. Are they going to force them to charge for it on the 3DS?

I have seen my friend playing Angry Birds with his Samsung Galaxy (or whatever it is called) and it looked pretty fun.

I am definitely going to skip this game. I already have it on my Phone and on my Tablet.
I'm sure we will L.Brown when the system is closer to release. I love this game on my PSP so I can't WAIT to see it in 3D.
I've actually never played Angry Birds before so I find this news very interesting. I will finally get to see what all the hype is about.
Angry Birds in 3D? Awesome. I got it for my iPod already, but hey, I'd pay a bit more to play on my 3DS.

@Pkmnmaster760: The N64 was obsolete years before Angry Birds first came out on any system, much less a current or next-gen one. devs naturally want to see their games come out on the latest and greatest hardware. :3
I would like it if they updated the iphone version so you get a code that gives you the 3ds version for free, rather than buying the game twice
