There's something strange in my neighbourhood, what do I do?

Nintendo has confirmed that it has signed a distribution deal with Capcom for its upcoming European release of Ghost Trick Phantom Detective on the DS. It's not the first time Nintendo has stepped in to help out a third-party title; the most recent collaboration between the two was Monster Hunter 3 (Tri~) on the Wii, which went on to enter the UK All-Formats Charts at a respectable number five.

Nintendo has agreed to be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game within the European region, with Capcom as the remaining publisher. Capcom will also serve as distributor in the Australian and Middle Eastern regions.

Ghost Trick Phantom Detective is a new puzzle game from Shu Takumi, the original creator of the Ace Attorney series. Players will take on the role of Sissel's ghost, as they solve a series of story-driven puzzles to work out the mysteries behind his own death. Possess various objects and items to affect the lives of the living. Speak to the recently deceased by rewinding time to four minutes prior to the victim's death.

If you missed it, here's the latest gameplay video that takes us to the restaurant area, where a crashing surprise awaits the diners and staff. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective launches in Europe on 14th January 2011, and North America on 11th January.
