Just released in Japan, My Aquarium 2 is due to ride the waves to the Western world within the near future, so it's a good job Hudson has opened the information floodgates by launching the game's website.
As well as the option to use the Forecast Channel to update the in-game weather and the revelation that your fish will do a dance on your birthday, there will also be five sets of post-launch downloadable content to extend your aquarium experience; Hudson has thought of everything to make this a big step up over its popular predecessor.
The game is out in North America today though there's no solid release date for Europe yet, but the website lists the game at 500 Points with a planned release for this month. For now, check out the free screensaver on the official My Aquarium 2 website and feel free to make your best screensaver jokes in the comments here.

To pre-empt the comments from the Animal Identification League, I know that's not a guppy, it just sounds better that way.
Is it a regular goldfish? I think gawping goldfish works nice as well.
Awesome. I can't wait to stare at my tv screen, doing nothing for hours. C'mon Hudson, make a next gen Bonk game, a Dragon's Curse clone or Neutopia Rebirth. But not another fish tank simulator.
@omega I agree, these games are pointless.

^ The first My Aquarium did ALL that. How am I supposed to think it's a big step up??? The DLC is the only thing they added to this game.
I have the first one and suffice to say we don't use it all that much, though I must confess every few weeks my 5 year old checks to see if we have unlocked another fish.
And 100 points for sets of 3 fish, really?
FYI the windows screensaver is in japanese, all I got were lots of question marks were words were supposed to be.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
OK, I got the free PC screensaver installed - apparently NO in Japanese is yes in English - and it isn't even a simulation of the game, it's a slideshow of pictures of fish in the game. Way to market your Wii game, not.
It has DLC? Weird.
@Prosody lol I wasn't gonna say a word dude. Some of the new features seem nice but I doubt the changes will change anyone's mind about buying it or not. If you did download the first one is the new content really enough to make anyone download this new version as well?
