We recently got chance to play a little two-on-two with NBA Jam and came away a little dizzy but thoroughly entertained nonetheless. Although no fresh information was given during our hands-on time, a recent interview with the game's creative director Trey Smith has smashed the backboard of secrecy and set the NBA Jam information scoreboard on fire.
Smith spoke for the first time about the new Remix Tour mode that throws boss battles against legendary basketball superstars into the mix. With Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon and more all set to feature, each showdown will be an old-school test of gaming chops: every boss has his own attack pattern and weakness for you to identify and exploit. Inspired by Burnout, the Remix Tour will apparently take the game's arcade sensibilities to new heights, with every opposition team having medal challenges to conquer, including old favourite smashing the backboard.
NBA Jam is shaping up to be, dare we say, the ultimate arcade-style version of the fast-paced sport. With plenty of information still to be revealed we'll keep you up to date on all the NBA Jam news it's fit to print.

Going to be awesome!!!!!!!!
That sounds pretty rad for a sports game! Never seen boss battles in these games before, hope other sports games do this too, really cool idea.
(I'm new btw, so hi everyone)
Welcome to nl BALROG but your user profile says that you joined on 25th March 2010. Is it that you just haven't used your profile much?
This game is going to be awesome cant wait.
I don't know if the entire series had them, but NBA Street Vol. 2 had bosses you had to defeat. They then became playable characters. This sounds much more extreme.
Awesome! I can't wait to take on Magic and The Birdman! Also, fingers crossed that the tagline for the review of this game is "Boom-shacka-lacka!" And welcome to NL, BALROG.
My uncles friend did the computer adimation for the BALROG in Lord Of The Rings movie shot here in New Zealand.
I hope this means Michael Jordan will finally make his NBA Jam debut.
Maybe Mario can have a cameo...
Kevin McHale!.. oh wait they already have one white guy from the Celtics...
Where's Michael Jordan?!
Michael Jordan is a part of 2K sports games now @Sylverstone. This is EA, the competition
