Konami has released a new trailer for the latest edition of PES for Wii, PES 2010, currently set for European release on November 20th.
Here's the company's official take:
The trailer showcases some of the new gameplay features - including the Play Energy element and the "Call for the Ball" play - that will be evident in gaming's most realistic soccer experience. The video also displays the amazing new defensive AI additions and graphics.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Wii sees key improvements in a wide range of areas for a more realistic football experience based on feedback from the users. For those who are not familiar with the Wii version, they will find it easy-to-play while veteran users will find it challenging. PES 2010 also offers new strides in the amount of licensed content as well as in the stadium atmospheres and player likenesses.
Among new features this time, the most noticeable one is related to the free kick system. Maximizing the pointer function of the Wii remote controller, players can take aim on the goal directly. Players can also decide how far they want the ball to bend, or they could even send a "knuckle ball" shot. Additionally, PES 2010 features new "MY Team" mode, more robust online gameplay, transfer updates, and more.

We're not gonna tell you if we prefer this over FIFA 10 just yet, we'll hopefully get to review the title next month and tell you all exactly what we think.

Yay! More soccer...er...non-American football!
This looks a big step up from the original PES Wii.Never got 09 as it looked the same.Hopefully the onlines lag free and ranked like FIFA without getting cut off like FIFA.Not played FIFA 10 yet but from the looks of it realism seems to of gone out the window.
FIFA 10 was the first FIFA title on a Nintendo platform that really disappointed me. after almost 10 years of FIFA-fanboyism i preordered PES 2010 because FIFA 10 for wii was just crap!
I wonder though with this being the Wii trailer if all the footage is from the Wii version because at 2:14 you see Sony Playstation advertisement going around the stadium.
@Devil_Hunter_Dante, good spot - maybe your right, however the Champions League in Europe is sponsored by Sony/PlayStation so maybe its because of that deal?
@aNt I do not follow the sport just found it odd. Thanks for clarifying though. Is there a place to follow or watch Football/Soccer online ? I have never seen a game since its not televised where I live in the States. We do not get any Sports Networks like ESPN where I live.
This game isnt what it was since the old PS 2 days till PES 6, after that it got 'stuck'. Fifa on the other hand is stuck since 1998. My opinion: Spend your money on more useful things.
I have to say, this is looking fantastic. I loved 2008 and can't wait to get my hands on this one. Bring it on!
I cannot wait to get this game. It looks very promising.
Konami knows not to screw with us.
playstation at 2:18 lol
