With a massive collection of Nintendo (, SEGA and Konami) characters aswell as a load of (almost kitsch) unlockables and extras, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is pretty much the Nintendo faithfuls wet-dream. It's no wonder it's selling so well.
Brawl now holds the record for the fastest selling Nintendo Wii game in Japan with sales of 1.08million units just 11 days after it's launch on 31st January (2008).
In comparison Wii Fit took seven weeks to achieve platinum and Wii Sports eleven. Altogether an outstanding success for Nintendo's popular beat 'em up.
The game drops in America on March 9th.

Hopefully this shows Nintendo that while their casual titles are doing brilliantly well - they can also stick to their guns and keep making the games the real players love aswell.
I think Nintendo have the balance just right at the moment.
Yeah I know what you mean.
I don't think there was any doubt that it wouldn't sell, I am expecting the game to do the same here in the states so that is why I got my reserved so that I can ensure a copy when it comes out in March.
