Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: How To Defeat Quadraxis 1

Welcome to another entry in our Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Boss Fight guides

In the first phase of the fight, Quadraxis will throw a lot of attacks at you. Minigun fire that’s easy to avoid, a large shockwave attack that you’ll need to jump over to avoid, a giant spinning attack, which you can roll away from, and it also makes use of the Annihilator Beam against you.

How to Defeat Quadraxis

You’re going to want to use ball bombs or boosts on the red-glowing areas of Quadraxis’s legs. Use The Super Missiles on the flashing blue areas near its knees to severely damage it. Destroying the devices will cause damage to its health bar; rinse and repeat until all of its knee couplings are destroyed.

As you enter the second phase, its body will stay on the ground, and its head will fly around the arena and start to attack using most attacks from phase one. The key in this phase is to use the Echo Visor to find the antenna on the body; damaging it will stun the head. Still using the Echo Visor, damage the three antennas coming out of the head with the aim to destroy them. Be careful, though. Every time one antenna is destroyed, the head will spawn a Dark Quad MB to fight us; we recommend fighting these guys for the sake of collecting ammo.

After destroying all the antennas, the final fight phase of the fight will begin. Use Super Missiles to stagger it, then use the spider tracks along the body to jump up to the head with ball boost to lay ball bombs in its weak point and damage it. Keep it up, and eventually, you’ll destroy Quadraxis.

Reward for defeating Quadraxis

Your reward for taking down this giant robotic nuisance is the Annihilator Beam - a powerful beam that can still be charged to use when out of ammo.
