The Disney Dreamlight Valley ratatouille recipe is essential if you want Remy to set up shop in the valley – and you do. Getting Remy to re-open Chez Remy is one of the most important things you can do early in Dreamlight Valley, and entering his realm should be your first priority.
How to make ratatouille in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unlike the other recipes Remy asks you to make in his set of challenges, he gives you no clear instructions for making ratatouille.
Here’s what you need to grab and use:
- 1 basil
- 1 onion
- 1 zucchini
- 1 eggplant
- 1 tomato
Throw it all in the pot, and you’re good to go.
Remy will move back to the Valley and open his restaurant after that. Here you can buy new ingredients, including milk, cheese, and eggs, all of which are key parts of most mid- and high-tier recipes, which you can sell these meals for a solid sum of money.
Ratatouille itself is a decent five-star meal, but not one you really need to make again unless it’s part of a request or you only have one or two eggplants around. Three eggplants sell for the same price as one ratatouille. Onions fetch a moderate number of coins as well, so it’s usually more cost-efficient to plant veggies and sell those instead of sinking them into ratatouille.
How to open the restaurant in Dreamlight Valley
After you serve the ratatouille to guests, Remy agrees to join you in the Valley. Your job is far from over, though.
You need to pay Scrooge 2,000 coins to build Remy a house. After that, Remy’s quest Restaurant Makeover shows up. He asks you to purchase a furniture kit, which also costs 2,000 coins, and then needs you to gather:
- 25 wheat (you can just grow this)
- 10 oregano
- 15 carrot (grow these instead of buying them as well)
- 15 raspberry
Hand these over, and Remy will finally open up shop.
