Will you have the patience to shop till you drop?
Kart racing has a long and illustrious history on Nintendo consoles. Now replace “Karts” with “shopping carts” and “racing” with “be the first to complete a tedious task” and you have Mart Racer, arguably the most unsatisfying racing game on WiiWare. Mixing the usual suspects of...
About The Game
You're a sharp-elbowed shopper racing through the store to find items before your rivals do.
Use your Wii Remote controller like a handlebar to control your shopping cart as you race through different types of stores. Vex your competitors by stunning them with plungers and stealing groceries out of their carts. Outrun them by using your drifting and aisle-jumping skills. Keep away from the security guards who want to stop the mall melee. The first player with a completed shopping list at the cash register wins.
A simple and fun game that's suitable for all ages, Mart Racer pits you against the computer or up to four players. Play with your friends and family on a split screen or compete online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

this will be out in europe first for 1000 points then in the states for 700
How do you know that? And also: that's really unfair if it is true. I refuse to pay more than 700 points.
looks interesting
look good!
So.......... this is a game where you speed shop? I'm in!
This exceeds the limits of absurdity. I'll wait for the reviews....
Mart Racer?? Probably the stupidest idea i ever heard in a video game and whats with those graphics, They hurt my eyes.
Looks like crap.
Ah but it has "wacky" plungers! Don't diss the plungers!
Ugh, looks lame! Pass.
"We support Friend Codes too, so you can get together with your buddies."
Pssh. As if your "buddies" would bother purchasing in the first place. They'd be so determined not to by how it looks! XD
That being said, I'm on the fence as to whether or not I should even TRY to give this game a chance: And usually, I always give games a chance but...
OMG! What would be the next? Packing'n'Action or Tagging Goods Revolution?
I think this will probably come monday
@WeeGee: where d'you get that idea?
As a matter of fact, I once though of this exact idea for a game! It's the local multiplayer mode which sounds attractive, but mostly because kicking your mates around never gets old. Screenshots look a bit disappointing though.
@KnucklesSonic8
Fair enough. But it sounds like it will also support online play with random people, allowing limitless replay like Mario Kart or Smash Bros. (assuming anyone actually plays it). How many Wiiware games can offer us that?
Terrible graphics, why would you pay money to go grochery shoping.
@Gabbo: Snowboard Riot can and yet people aren't trying it.
But yeah, the question is will enough people GET Mart Racer? lol. I wonder what's taking so long on this one...
I'll share a tidbit of info with you guys. The main thing that's pulling me towards this (other than Wi-fi support) is because I designed a board game with a similar concept and premise. To see it come alive in a way would be interesting to test.
edit:
What's taking this so long...?
And seven months later, here it is.
Should have made a take on the old game show Super Market Sweep instead. I might of actually given that a chance.
Did anyone notic this is in the HOT games link below? That's misleading. Some poor sucker might see that and buy this.
