Review Soul Blazer (Super Nintendo)
Still one of the greatest action RPGs ever created.
At a time when action RPGs were truly beginning to catch on with gamers, Soul Blazer came along and offered up an adventure that was as charming and engaging as any role-playing game fans had experienced. Taking many of the unique gameplay elements found in the Actraiser title that came before it,...

This game is still one of my favorites. I miss Turbo the dog. What a trooper he was.
Yeah, this one's a bit weird - It got a German and French release (Which were also in their respective languages) but wasn't released anywhere else in Europe. Makes me wonder if it'll be an import on VC or not!
Brilliant game though, just like the other two, of course.
the intro is freaking catchy
Ah, Soul Blazer, one of my all time favorites! Its been a long time since I last played this and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who remembers this game. The main reason I bought a Wii in the first place was for the Virtual Console games and this game is still on the top of my must-have list! This definitely needs to be released so people can finally know what a truly awesome game this is!
@ Corbie: Regarding Turbo
I remembered there was a dog in this game but I forgot his name. Thanks for helping me bring back fond memories!
The first of the trilogy [the other two which I've yet to experience] truly is one of the best games ever made, and one of my Top 15 favorites. I especially loved the soundtrack, which was very atmospheric. The graphics are very reminiscent of those from ActRaiser (same programmers/developers). The gameplay is also quite absorbing.
I still remember the first time I played that game... I didn't even know what an RPG game was. The graphics, sounds where just out of this world for me at the time. What really helped me enjoy the game from the get go, was the fact that it was Soooo easy to play. Anywoo, can't wait to have it available for download...
Played a little bit of this game and it was pretty fun. Gonna have to try out the sequels too. Hear the third one is pretty amazing.
Are the chances of seeing this game on Wii VC becoming slimmer and slimmer as games are beginning to be pulled from the Wii Store..?
