Well I just beat Bit.Trip BEAT. I highly recommend it to everyone. I plan on getting the others. However the credits music was amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhYovp1lTHQ
Are all the credits music like this in the series? Also whats your favorite Credits music?
I still haven't picked up any of the Bit games. Obviously I need to do so. Well, I have the demo of Bit.Trip BEAT and have played it, but haven't pulled the trigger on the game yet. For one thing the game seemed pretty hard and I'm worried it will just be frustrating.
Since my PAL Wii is off to the shop tomorrow for a drive repair I've been playing the Japanese Wii more and have put the Bit.Trip games into regular rotation. After beating my head against Decent multiple times I pretty much figured I'd never beat it and said so in chat yesterday, but wouldn't you know it last night I actually beat it (though I was in Nether at the bitter end)!
Of course Growth was a massive curveball and I wasn't really prepared for some of the moves required to deal with it, so I lasted less than a minute, but I'm just thrilled I finally unlocked that last track.
Exploration in CORE is much more brutal however and I don't think I'm really close to the end when I start to lose it there, but BEAT has demonstrated clearly "never say never!"
Growth looks impossibly hard at first, but it's actually slightly easier than Descent once you figure out the patterns.
Descent gets absurd at ONE specific point (I'm sure you all know where I am referring to). Growth is hard because there is little stopping in its actions, and if you mess up on two of those shapes...well, you just lost a whole level.

I have to say at the later parts of Descent going into Nether was almost a blessing because it was easier to make sense of the patterns without the shifting background.
My first impression of Growth is that there's no gradual build up like the other two - it just requires you to do certain patterns without telegraphing what they are.
Incredibly I reached the boss in Exploration when I played CORE last night. The boss fight was a fun surprise, but totally kicked my ; couldn't even pass the first wave. Nether in CORE seems less tolerant of mistakes than in BEAT.
I know this is an old topic but I have a question that I can't really find a good discussion for. I recently started playing this again, and does anyone have any tips on how to beat the final boss on Growth? I can get to him easily everytime, but I don't think I've ever scored more than 7 on him. Every comment I manage to find only says it's a relatively simple final boss, so am I just that bad?

The best advice I can give u is to NOT GIVE UP. Keep trying. I lost probably 7-8 times before I finally won. And....I didn't find it 'relatively simple' so don't "Beat" yourself up too much over it.
I try to hit it straight back without putting any english on it, because I seem to miss if I try to do that on purpose. If I recall, what happens is the bit goes faster and faster till I eventually barely manage to hit it and then it goes back at the CPU crazily and the CPU fails to respond in time.
pretty much exactly what zerks said — the only tip i can offer is to not give up. take a break if you have to, set it aside for a week if you must, but don't lose hope. :3
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

Well, thanks for the advice everybody, but I think I have to stop following it. I've played him about 30 times and the most I've scored is 11. I've watched videos of people beating him and I think my game just has a superboss because mine returns everything. I've been lucky enough to return it like 6 or 7 times after it starts going fast, with crazy english on it, and he still returns them all! I think it's about time to resign myself to the fact that I'm just not going to beat this game. Oh well.
Have you tried the double paddle trick with two wiimotes? When I first started playing the higher levels of this game I taped two wiimotes together with a dime in between at the top to wedge them apart at a slight angle to give me one big super paddle, lol. That should make things a lot easier.
