Yep, Aonuma is the director, Kid A. But I don't remember that. He hinted about flight before?
The cliff thing seems a good indication of it, and after I laughed off IGN's assumption that the wolf in the trailer meant Link was a werewolf, I'm not going to overlook little things like this anymore with Zelda, haha.
Yeah, all hands-on impressions I've read have confirmed that the controls work very well, so poor Miyamoto just got screwed over on stage. Giving a live demonstration of any tech is a frightening matter, because these things always find a way to happen.

I am a bit dissapointed in the art direction Nintendo took here. It looks like a Wind Waker-style world with a misplaced Twilight Princess Link.
The gameplay looks awesome though.
Yeah, I agree it was a big disappointment that the graphic design looked like it was inferior to TP and although the M+ is cool, It looked way too cartoonie
the thing is that cell shaded ages better then normal 3D. Look at twilight princess in a few years then look at SS. I hope we can can get some really dark TP styles areas with this graphics engine.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
To be honest I never expected to see a whip in a Zelda game.
I think that there is one in Spirit Tracks, but I don't know for sure. And honestly I didn't expect it either, I just wanted it, really, really bad. Now Link needs a brown leather jacket and a fedora.......
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
As I got my first look, and saw cell-shaded adult link, I just thought "that is PERFECT!" Bright and colourful, but not too cartoonish. As for the gameplay, I think I'll like the simplified menu system and the controls also look quite good (accounting for the interference). I think it's a little gimmicky to have to swing your sword in a certain angle against a few enemies, I guess I'll decide after playing. Over all, quite impressive.

I feel so bad for myamoto-san in his steve jobs moment, but i'm sure it will be great, zelda always is, remember when people complained about wind waker, and when it came out it got raving reviews! so lets just have faith in Shiggy! Zelda is always great, and a new way to play just freshens it up a bit. I'm looking so forward to it!
In short, this game looks like the first in the time line of the series. The HUD (on screen remote) is optional. Items are picked by motion, with the use of the M+, not IR (Yay!). We are going to get Orchestral Music!
The page is still updating, but this is all great stuff.
