Really? I would be both surprised and very disappointed.

I don't believe it can be larger than Twilight Princess... If I could ask a question it would be that!

I agree
A Gamecube Zelda game that took 3 years to make would be bigger then a Wii Zelda game that took 5 years.
yes, Twilight Princess is on the Wii but, its still a gamecube game.
If I was you, I would look up my facts first, before posting, or you will end up looking like a clueless fool.

Anyway, Skyward Sword looks to be a more superior to all other Zelda games in gameplay terms
I'm still not a fan of the bright colors but lets not rule it out because of that.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

anything is better than twilight princess. i remember every other zelda game in my head except TP. i dont remember the bosses or hardly anything. all i know is that you become a wolf and the the bosses were way to easy to beat

I have the same sensation. I think quite enjoyed it at the time, but I can hardly remember the actual experience now at all.

and i just watched the two gameplay videos and i looks great, its very inventive, but i hope theres a lot more to the dungeon. i hate when i can beat a dungeon in 20 mins the only zelda game that was a challenge was OoT master quest. that was the most fun i had in a long time

but he most fun i had was playing majora's mask. there wasn't nearly as many dungeons (4) but it was the most interactive of them all. tons of side quests and deep game play. that's what a zelda game should have, along with good dungeons :3

lets not forget persona 3, xenosaga trilogy, and some tales of series were long as hell, it took me like 3 weeks to finish persona 3. Well, lets not forget that HD games take longer to make, it has been discussed before.

It looks lovely. I hope it's a lengthy adventure and that they actually go all out on the upgradeable items system. I want more kinds of swords and shields than in previous Zelda games. Would be awesome to have about 4 different swords to choose from, and they should all be acquired by doing some good side quests.

It's a guess. My opinon is based on the imensity of Twilight Princess itself; you don't see that amount of content on any console nowadays, specially on the HDtwins where most games play on straight corridors, even Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 5, GTA has less content than their previous games.

I'm just saying I won't be surprised if it is much shorter game than TP.

I never thought Twilight Princess was that much longer than the other games. The world is huge, but the game only took me a little longer than previous Zelda games. And what's this "15 hours" nonsense? I find it extremely hard to believe that a console Zelda would be the same length as Metroid: Other M.

How much of this five years developing Skyward Sword were spent on "revolutionary graphics" and "revolutionary controls" ?

After the big reveal at last year's E3, I was worried that they might be focusing too much on gameplay instead of what really matters. Some of the stuff they've shown since then has me thinking that's not the case, but I haven't seen anything that completely guarantees it. I just hope they don't artificially increase the game's size by tossing in more dungeons.

Didn't really know where to post this but here we go:

  • First proper full-fledged 1:1 motion control adventure game ever.

    • Confirmed to be the biggest, most nonlinear, and one of the hardest Nintendo games to date. Miyamoto called it a true evolution of the Zelda series. Literally the last time he said that about a game was F-Zero GX, one of the hardest games of last-gen.
    • Gameplay/combat/stamina system etc. inspired by Monster Hunter 3 which the Zelda team played and analyzed during development.
    • Nintendo still has an unbroken track record for nailing the graphical design of all their games upon release.
    • First 3D console Zelda game ever to (as far as currently known) have no major content removed during development from beginning to end.
    • Draws from all Zeldas: all the basics of the original games, the content depth and overflowing sidequests of the Oracles, the open dungeons of OoT, the dungeon and overworld backtracking of MM, the exploration of TWW, the Siren world mechanic originally intended as the Twilight realm dual world gameplay of TP, the calculative puzzles of ST.
    • You will want to "play through this game again after you beat it" according to Miyamoto.
    • Fully orchestrated soundtrack.
    • Upgradable items that change in mechanics each time you upgrade them not just doing more damage.

If all of this is true it'll definitely be one of the best Zeldas ever. Lets hope it's not just talk

Definitely getting this game.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you.

I think it's great that this game isn't being overhyped like Twilight Princess was. I read an interview with Aonuma in NP, and I'm super excited about this game. He said it is the longest and most content full Zelda game that has ever been made. TP took a good 50 hours or more to beat by comparison, and this game is longer. There is also cool stealth gameplay where you have to avoid Guardians. I think this game could be a BIG one for the series. I'm predicting BIG things for this game.

It is kind of getting overhyped. Not by the press, but fellow gamers claiming it's the best thing ever when none of us have played it yet.

The game looks amazing, and I'm very intrigued by the sword-fight controls (hopefully they aren't as shallow as Wii Sports Resort's sword-fighting game).

Not really, the hype is moderate at best compared to Brawl.

Which is in no way a bad thing as Brawl proved that hype alone can ruin a game.

I love how people blame hype for the reason they didn't like a new game.
They go.... (I didn't like Twilight Princess because it was too overhyped.)

Here's an idea. How about you don't follow the hype and just try to enjoy it for what the game is.
I like to form my own opinion of games and not let others tell me what I should like.
You just know when Skyward sword comes out it'll be the same BS.
Boo I'm soo dissapointed and let down. Cry,piss and moan it was so overhyped.

What's happened to gamers? They are never happy unless they are miserable.
