Wouldn't call it the best RPG ever - it's an incredible game, for sure, and certainly one of my favourite Wii games, but it's not the best RPG ever. There are better.
I've played all of 'em, from the (then-imported) Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger to Final Fantasy XII to Star Ocean on the X-Box 360...nothing comes close to Xenoblade Chronicles in my opinion. It's also the most gigantic RPG ever; both in terms of explorable terrain and rich features... and I haven't even completed this gem! (only 44 hours were spent till Skyward Sword was released and completed)
Xenoblade chronicles is a very long game (took me 120 hours to beat) so I think you should spend longer on it before making such bold claims. I think it is an amazing game and definitely one of the best on the Wii but there are a few better rpgs.

Well, if the game gets even better beyond the point I took a break, then...nothing will change my opinion for a LONGGGG time (I guess) ghehe My goal is to complete every side-quest, find every item, beat every enemy and explore the ENTIRE world, ... This is gonna take a LOT of time, not the 10-15 hours of a Final Fantasy game, and certainly not the 5 hours of some Call Of Duty 'interactive movie'
It’s man vs. machine in a new game coming to Nintendo’s Wii™ console in spring. Xenoblade Chronicles™ asks players to use the Monado blade to take on a seemingly endless series of invading Mechon robots in a sweeping role-playing adventure.
The main character is Shulk, a weapons researcher who must confront the Mechon by wielding the ancient Monado blade. It’s the only weapon that has any effect against the Mechon, and it also enables Shulk to see the future.
Players can customize their characters with a variety of weapons and armor choices, as well as headgear, boots and gloves. As in many role-playing games, players can then gain experience and upgrade their characters. Players can watch their enemies, learn their tactics and unleash real-time counterattacks.
The vast open world of Xenoblade Chronicles is ripe for exploration. Players can avert their focus from the main story and venture out looking for other challenges and side quests. Hidden areas and unique monsters are scattered throughout the game’s massive world, which players can explore freely.
Xenoblade Chronicles has already launched in Japan and Europe, and has received unanimously positive reviews, including several perfect scores.
Xenoblade Chronicles will be available exclusively through U.S. GameStop retail locations, http://www.gamestop.com and http://www.nintendo.com at a suggested retail price of $49.99 in the United States. Additional information about the game will be announced in the future. For more information, visit http://xenobladechronicles.nintendo.com.
They're really limiting their sales by having it GameStop exclusive. If Nintendo wants more sales, they should bring it to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Amazon, etc.

You do know its gamestop only because GS is fitting some of the bill to get it here and its going to be a very small limited released (like metroid trilogy) and NOA isn't expecting big numbers. I expect this from the other 2 games as well. With Pandora's Tower in the summer and The last story in september right before the Wii-U hits.
I'm hoping they could with soundtrack tokens like the U.K. versions.

Ugh, screw that. NoA sucks. NoE took their time to properly localize the game, and all NoA does is ship the European version to North America and call it a day.
A limited release at GameStop only is just limiting their sales. That's my point.

First off, it's not the European version because they had to redo the code.
Second, Nintendo is selling it themselves, so it's not really a "limited release"
