Topic: Would anyone want Gamecube Zelda: Four Swords to come to WiiWare?

With the GBA functionality now being DS functionality instead?

I'm sure its possible but they may have to split the game into two due to size reasons. Or if that doesn't work, make a new version specifically designed for the the WiiWare.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

FSA...? No. I never really like the whole GBA connection thingy and a Four Swords game for WiiWare should better find a way, so that every player can play by just using a Wiimote. However, Navi Trackers / Tetra's Trackers, which was cut out from the EU and US versions of the game, would still be nice, since I never had a chance to play this.

And a WiiWare Zelda in general would be appreciated. Doesn't even need multiplayer, some classic A Link to the Past style Zelda game for WiiWare would be awesome.

Four Swords on the Gamecube's main gimmick was that you can leave the TV screen and appear on the GBA screen. You could still play without a GBA but I forget what limitations there was on not being able to do so? Was it that you could only play one player? I really can't remember.

I recently bought Four Swords on ebay for 20 bucks to play it myself alone.

A single player can play either with the GBA or the normal controller, in which case the GBA screen appears on the TV when you enter a house, a cave or whatever.

Multiplayer requires a GBA per player.

Remember back when the DS first came out, and Four Swords DS was "in the works"? That's what I'm still hopeful for. I wondered if they would lump it in with Phantom Hourglass, but they didn't.

There's definitely potential for the series, but I'd prefer to see it as a full blown DS cartridge rather than WiiWare.

I think a Wiiware version would be too small for a game like FSA. I can't imagine having them cut back much of the game to fit it on Wiiware.

WiiWare is too small, I want either a remake / port for the Wii + DS or a full sequel.

I love the GC game, absolutely brilliant multiplayer co-op/competitive fun. I doubt NSMBWii will even come close. The requirement for GBAs, by the way, was fundamental to the gameplay, and you'd have to strip about half of the truly enjoyable ideas if you didn't require each player to have a private screen.

4 game boy advances and 4 link cables and 4 cartridges (in the case of four swords for GBA) was too expensive and therefore a bad idea. and you needed to have 4 hardcore zelda freaks to play this game properly.

that's why another four swords game should be online only.

no more of that final fantasy crystal chronicles and four swords GBA/DS connection crap please.

This = good idea. Especially with WiiSpeak functionality.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Or just 1 even-more-hardcore Zelda freak. Yes, I kept 4 GBAs and link cables around just to be able to play this game when friends visited. I bought them all for ridiculously cheap prices from Goodwill.

Again, the interplay between the private GBA screens and the shared public screen, all in a local multiplayer environment, is what made 4SA what it was; you could make an online sequel, which might even prove to be fun, but it's another thing entirely without that original dynamic. I'm guessing you never got the chance to experience the original game in its full 4-player glory.

I think I might take my old TV, when I finally buy a new one, along with my old GC and GBAs, and hook up a little permanent 4-Swords station, in some kind of cool arcade cabinet if I were to find the time.

I liked Four Swords Adventures, but it's not really the best. I'd prefer a regular Zelda game, if they could fit it into the limited Wiiware space.

No. I never got to play Four Swords, because it involved connecting to four Game Boy Advances,, and I'm not that interested. I still rank Zelda 2<Zelda 4<Zelda 3.
