@buffalobob yeah, I wonder with Last Ninja if you had to be there at the time. Saying that, the first always drove me insane on my C64 so even I didn't download it. To make matters worst when I finally got to the 3rd stage on my C64 it wouldnt load... 2, however, is a classic in my opinion. Worst download for me is Bonk 3 - nice graphics and sound but I just couldn't seem to enjoy this game.
...actually, it's not a horrible game on its own, but it wasn't what I wanted. A friend and I were a little drunk and wanted to play a classic beat-em-up, and downloaded this one because we both stupidly confused it with the Final Fight series (dang FF names!). We then realized it was just a normal fighter, and by connection realized we were idiots.

HUGE disppointment. I'd been led to believe that Bomberan games were a riot of fast paced explosion-based fun. This isn't. Still, only spunked 4 quid on it, could have been worse.
kirby's adventure (i think that's the title.... it's the first NES one). my first download... i was looking forward to an awesome kirby game... and then i realized that unlike later games, there's no limit on flying... you can fly through every level far above anything that could hurt you. i thought NES games were supposed to be hard.
final fight was a major disappointment, too.
and i agree with Link-Hero on Mario Bros. i loved the gba mario games' bonus version of that game... i figured it owuld be the same but with worse graphics. the controls really do make it just about unplayable.
Well, to pick one it would be Blazing Lasers. I love this game and don't regret getting it. It is just I suck at it Can't get pas the first area. Still, it is a real time consumer.
Legend of the Mystical NInja (SNES). Charming game to look at and listen to, but practically unplayable in town sections, where inhabitants attack you for no reason whatsoever, often nullifying the power-up purchases you've made in town. Platform sections are poor also. Maybe it's better in co-op, I don't know.

People attack you in towns because they're bad guys and you're traversing the beat 'em up sections...
