Topic: Will you buy COD 4 for wii?

Actually, SMG would'nt be dumbed down. It would've been made MORE complex due to the 360s different control scheme and extra memory.

I'm with Alex on this one. CoD4Wii is gonna blow, at least compared to the other versions. Everything that made the game good (Amazing graphics, long, epic single-player campaign, great online) would have to be butchered to fit the Wii. And don't even get me started on how they JUST decided to start it RIGHT when the MW2 hype train is moving along at full speed.

They should even have bothered. I'd much rather see them make a spinoff or something instead.

if it was 20 bucks I'd buy it. None of the Wii FPSes are worth 50 imo, other than the upcoming MPC...bad ports of good games that cost 50 (or substantially less now) on PC just don't merit that same price on Wii, plain and simple.

who cares what other consoles are gonna have! if you got a good game on wii it shouldn't matter what the 360 or ps3 has

@Bahamut ZERO: I know I know, I don't wanna fight (atm). It's all about money anyways and the fact so many 3rd party developers doubted the Wii from the off and went with the others. Now they're playing catch up, port this, and that ,and even some tat. I don't wanna see stripped down games, but we haven't even seen CoD4Wii in action yet and I'm told WaW was an improvement at the least. I couldn't play it myself, what with it being ANOTHER WW2 game, bleh.

Which is why I'm looking forward to Modern Warfare on Wii, I HOPE it's good.

well i bought WaW becuase of the online (for me is the most complete in terms of content except DLC) but the single player is pretty good (better than the conduit's)

I have to agree with Alex Said, Batahum ZERO, and The Fox. It will be an massively dumb-down port that nobody should get. I hate to say it, but it will happen.

The reason I said Galaxy dumbed down was because the pointer, I didn't mean that game specifically, more so a "I don't want to see a Wii game dumbed down for 360" statement. Now that I'm thinking, Excitebots is a better example.

@Machu: They didn't go 360 and PS3 for money, they went because the Wii couldn't handle it. Point is, if Wii fans accept this, we'll never get anywhere, and we'll be stuck with worse ports for 4 more years. The Conduit was a step in the right direction, not because it was good (hell no!), but because it was built specifically for the Wii, making sure everything was in the Wii's boundaries and used to the fullest.

Even though CoD4 Wii will be better than the Conduit, The Conduit was a first-person exclusive shooter tailor made for the console, while CoD4 is just a dumbed down port.

Maybe, I like Wii FPS controls better than dual analog but I don't want to pay full price for maybe a watered down port when I can get the 360 version used for cheaper.

Dual analogs suck so I wouldn't be surprised if people prefer a game with better controls over one that's got better graphics and such. Content is nice but the controls are the gatekeeper to it and can ruin it.

As long as it's good then yes, I'll buy it. CoD: World at War on Wii is a great game, in my opinion. So if it matches the standard they set with that then I'll be happy.
